Had at that seafood restaurant in Milan. Strong scent of rose. Looked for it all over the city and never found it — 3 years ago

A good wine especially for Ladies — a year ago
2013 Vintage. clear, golden color. red apple, underripe pear at first then becoming like apple pie on the nose. fine mousse, persistent and steady. Red apple, bosc pear, hints of lemon curd flavors. Not particularly yeasty but has a richness of flavor. medium long finish. balanced. well made. Too good for my sunday afternoon casual enjoyment. or is it?! — 6 years ago

‘09 GPL for a celebratory occasion. Spectacular bottle decanted a couple of hours before serving. The color is deep ruby. The nose is intense with cassis, blackberry and leather. The pallet is full with flavors of tobacco, oak, cedar, smoke and overlaying dark fruit. It is seductively bold, obsessively tannic and dry, and quite acidic. Very seductive wine.
PS Paired with NY Strip Steak. May be the perfect mach! — 3 years ago
Holy extraction grandma. Imagine a bottle of Caymus and a bottle of MollyDooker (any MD, really) met at a party and hit it off.. the Caymus, being outgoing and forgetting it's manners, while slightly inebriated, started dancing a bit too close to the Molly Dooker. She, being equally overt, slightly even more intoxicated, and not being one to say no to a good time, gladly indulged and pulled him closer as the music roared louder. They made their way through the crowd, bumping and grinding, and stumbled out the door to Caymus' sup'd up '69 Mustang Mach 1. Molly, being a thrill seeker with a new found love for Rutherford but a bigger love for adventure, shouted at Caymus as he gripped the wheel - "let's leave this state in our dust!" The two sped across the countryside, hand in hand, and finally ran out of gas as they crossed the state line into Washington. It was there they made love. A lovechild was born. It's name - Levitation. Levi for short.
For those confused - it drinks like a lovechild of Caymus and Molly Dooker coming from Washington. Not bad juice. — 6 years ago

What a wine. One of my favorite red wines in the world. Crazy nose of pungent violets, deep cherry fruit and insane spice. The violets are so so intense. Wow. 9.7 nose. Sick. So so good. Palate is so velvety and sweet but needs air but my goodness this will go into Mach 5 in an hour. So fresh, so pure and so balanced. Amazing class and length. Genius. With air this gets downright seductive with a silky texture and so much finesse. — 5 months ago
