This some great barolo right there. Rose petals, tar, cherry, almond, a bit of heat too. This is super inviting. The palate is long, acid driven, with lovely cherry notes all along and a lively mouthfeel. There are some almond and earthy notes too. Then comes the excitement, a gigantic drying tannic wall that comes in and disrupts completely a mouthfeel that will now show fruit, umami and that drying layer all over a long, long, long finish. — 6 months ago
Deep red, slightly coppery color under light, it’s young but after some decanting time it starts to open up. Nose is still restrained long after opening, but starting to show some fruit and herbaceous funk as it releases its hold. Raspberries, sherry, black cherry and wet mossy forest floor on the nose so far. Tannins are pretty prominent, dry and chalky, with a full body and long lingering finish where the jammy raspberries shine more as the song ends, even becomes a little ripe tomato as the song fades. Super young, but a great pairing for the pork belly and risotto we had for Valentine’s Day dinner and it shows a lot of promise. — 9 months ago
Amazing. With Bigham’s! — 4 years ago
Dark fruit/plum. Med-full bodies. Improved over1-2 hours. Smooth tannins with good acid. Very well balanced. Love this Tuscan Syrah. 1 bottle left if this vintage. Drink next 3-4 years. — 6 years ago
Really beautiful crisp white with a lot of round fruit, flavors, stone, fruit, and lime on the finish a clean cement feel very beautiful wine — 5 months ago
Daaaaaaang this is amazing! Pro ratings are too low. Tecce aromatics are so good. Flowers, iron, tar and macerated berries on the nose upon opening. Incredible balance of fruit and minerals with a metallic tone. Hint of licorice. I just opened it and it’s already so complex with little alcohol showing through. Lots of Mediterranean herbs, hay and grape stems on the finish, with a nicely tannic bitter final note. Super long, easing into dusty dried fruit. Absolutely excellent. So smooth and drinkable for a 15-percenter. — 8 months ago
Should have opened it early and decanted - or better yet, hid it under a floorboard for a good ten plus years. Tightly wound tannins which come out swinging. Yet, with hints of the promised land to come in its youthful (?) bluster. — 2 years ago

Another wine from Greg’s friend Andrew. A little chalky. But should open up. Very nice. Beautiful color. — 6 years ago
Light golden color. Aromas of tropical fruits, white flowers and citrus. Flavors of pineapple, lemon/lime, peaches, melon, kiwi and minerals. Fruit forward and bright finish. Zesty acidity and very fresh tasting. Light bodied, crisp and refreshing. Thanks for the sample, Chris B! — 6 months ago
Cherries, smooth tannins. — 10 months ago
Dinner w Bryan and Katy at Crown Super Deluxe, a fancy Benihana w JAPANESE FRUIT TOMATOES and lobster that jumps off the plate and proper Japanese A5 Wagyu (not some American imitation shit). The wine: a Cab franc merlot that’s lighter than you would expect. A recommendation from the house that was a delicious end to the meal, and was perfect w the Wagyu. — 5 years ago
Young and needs a lot of air to drink now. Will be great in 3-5 years. — 6 years ago

Apologies for the soiled label. Pale Ruby with a tawny edge - almost transparent. Dusty earthy mushroom aromas. Oak is absorbed and so are the tannins. Barely medium weight, elegant in fact. Interesting for a Barolo / cherry notes on palate. Perfect to accompany food - in this case home made pizza. One of the lightest Barolos I’ve ever tried but very enjoyable. — 5 months ago
