Drank in Big Sky on 3/28/2019. Vintage 2014 — 6 years ago
Raspberry compote, creme de violette, a handful of wet soil with crushed twigs and leaves. Balance and structure like the work of a romantic carpenter building his dream house. Like a semi-lucid dream where a warm, hazy sky is breaking like a glow stick into twilight hues and you’re on a beautiful old double decker steam train with a rooftop standing area. You’re whizzing by vibrant green fields of gigantic flowers, their petals flapping slowly in the wind like sheets drying on a line. Old oak trees growing fruits in colours that don’t exist yet. Glowing fireflies just above your head like painterly orange astronomy. In the dream it’s New Years Eve but in the dream everyday is New Years Eve and you could very well spend everyday alone with your dream power. — 7 years ago
Delicious and crisp wine, with slight berry note, but still quite dry and smooth. Great feature at total wine in VA — 8 years ago
Champagne on Ice 🤔 Does this £47 idea work? Oh yes 😍 This is dangerous in sun & goes down too easy - like a bubbly G&T - marvellous 👏
🍷 Light straw
👃 Pink grapefruit & citrus marshmallow 😎
👄 Light-Med bodied super refreshing sweet icy cool bubbles oozing bitter grapefruit, dry citrus & juniper berry
🎯 Med+ sweet pink grapefruit & citrus oh yeah 👍 — 8 years ago
Easily one of the better incarnations of this wine, the 2015 Sky is drinking really well. I think (but am not 100% certain) that by this vintage Greg Brewer had moved from Melville to John Hilliard’s operation just down the road on Route 246. Has many of the same characteristics you’d expect from a St Rita Hills pinot - beautiful bright strawberry-laced fruit, a bit of earth and spice, all wrapped together in a wine with a seamless mouthfeel. Very sad that life circumstances compelled John and his wife to shut HB down, but this wine is a terrific reflection of what they achieved in a very short space of time. Cheers! — 5 years ago
Tasted tonight with miso-tamari marinated steak dinner and side of sautéed onions and mushrooms, overlooking NYC sky line.
yummy, smooth ‘n easy. Take a sip, breathe in, and realize there’s peppercorn character chasing the fruit. Enough acidity to keep everything in balance. — 6 years ago
This shit is delicious. Érica is getting drunk and she doesn’t even digest alcohol like normal people. Usually gives her explosive diarrhea but today she’s like a hot air balloon on that day when all the hot air balloons go in the sky - just one of the guys! She’s downloading the app now even though she doesn’t even really drink. Thank u Occhipinti. — 7 years ago
This is very light. I’m blinded in a Manfred Mann kinda way. Subdued. This could become a true love affair based on respect, admiration and tasty tannins. — 8 years ago
When you have to travel on a Sunday, and that Sunday happens to be Mother's Day, you're not exactly psyched. This little oasis in the Delta Sky Club afforded me the opportunity to smile. Not a bad pour, regardless of the price. Typical Lynch-Bages cigar tobacco and leather with some luscious and velvety black fruit. Finished a little flat, most likely due to being open for a while in the fancy automated pour gizmo. But still smiling! — 8 years ago

Likely verdicchio instead of Trebbiano as mentioned in Godforsaken grapes. Bright, mineral, strawberries. “Yet what should become of the world? The industrial countries spreading like a blackness over all the world, horrible, in the end destructive. And the Garda was so lovely under the sky of sunshine, it was intolerable.” — 6 years ago
Not a lot of bottles in a harvest. Enjoyable with red meat. — 6 years ago
😇 I looked up to the sky & the Purple Angel came down upon me filling my glass with light blocking purple ruby rain that oozed aromas of black & blue berries w/ thick chocolate, vanilla, dates, heavenly minerals & smokey oak - “drink this godly juice” she said in a booming voice🍷
I dared embrace the heavenly nectar & succumbed to a full on palate explosion of ripe dark concentrated blackcurrant/berry bathed in raspberry cocoa and minerals💥
My mouth was left open in awe as my purple stained teeth yielded to the long silky fruit loaded intense finish & I myself turned into a naughty purple devil - spank me angel, spank me 😈
🎵 “And through it all she offers me protection l, A lot of love and affection” you’re gonna be singing this all day now 🤣 “And down the waterfall wherever it may take me .. “
📍 Montes Purple Angel 2013
🏵 93 points
🍇 92% Carmenere & 8% Petit Verdot
💥 14.5% ABV
✅ For £32 this is a cracking wine 😍 some may say even Angelic 😁

Le Pich is the Wappo Indian term for "golden eagle," and this wild birds wingspan is massive. It will come in fast and hard and treat you like a helpless mouse in the field and swoop you up into the sky in its grape soaked talons. But then, what a ride once it opens up! "Nice eagle", you say..."take me to your nest and do what you do." It's like getting punched in the face followed by a tantric massage. This is the stuff of awesomeness. — 8 years ago
Golden honey rising up into the sky of my palate. It's a 2014 but tastes more mature - as if it's been travelling for a long time, in a good. — 8 years ago
Very drinkable table wine pretty smooth for a medium body. Enjoy that White Cliff Vineyards in the Hudson region with my travel compoñera — 9 years ago
I drank you too quickly, my love. You, the embodiment of all that I desire: a soft mist on a grey day, a light wind at an hour in the morning when most of the living cease, an empty road, an open question, a filling in an unknown hole that's been gaping wider by the day. I could try to describe you, you the impermeable, but words can't meet your nose in the night and Eskimo kiss ideas into the abyss of night sky. Just know, we will meet again; it will be as good as it as was. I won't let you be the one that gets away.
As I pull the sheets over you I wonder if I will ever know what love is again. — 9 years ago

Pale salmon all seashell and saltwater on the nose. So we have both river and ocean in one glass, boom. Jumpy but fine bubbles and same as nose but add in lilacs and raspberries so we are moving from water to land. Then the bubbles burst upon the tongue and we have sky. Am I missing any element? Nah, this is fire.
Well-priced fire to boot. Trentodoc I see you.
Update: just realized I reviewed this before but that was in relation to pairing with pizza. Which is fabulous at. But love it solo too! — 5 years ago
