Had this about 10 months ago, still very nice. Located halfway up the hill dominating the principal valley of Barolo, supported by steep slopes lined by orderly vineyards, lies the 15th century Abbey of Annunziata. Dark Ruby with ripe berry fruits and pepper spice. On the palate cherry and strawberry, some spice, well balanced with savory chewy tannins on a medium finish ending with mineral notes. Great value. Cabernet Bosché Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Let this wine breathe! It is exquisite even before you let it breathe, but letting it breathe makes it 10x times better. The smell is enough to feel as though you already took a sip. Once it has breathed and you take the first sip, It immediately hits the tongue strongly, as it does back of the tongue. Extremely smooth going down. Leaves you with a bold taste on the middle and back of your tongue afterwards, but not strong enough going down to make it distasteful in the end. — 8 years ago

Nice Pinot perfume showing some cherry notes with stalky whole bunch characters. Donut on the middle palate with a slightly tannic finish. M- Intensity. Certainly shows as a Yarra Valley Pinot with a % of whole bunch. — 8 years ago

Normally I'm not really a fan of St. Bernardus 12: to heavy and alcoholic. After a few years it loses it's sharp edges and gains more complexity, more chocolatey.

15’ Farella La Luce Sauvignon Blanc. Stone fruits. Lemon peel. Healthy dose of acidity. They sell most of the there grapes to Realm & Lail. Food pairing SB Edit- Tasting much better then upon release date! The acid has calm down quite a bit after about 30 minutes in the glass. Very enjoyable. These high acid wines...don’t drink them so cold ,cellar temperature is just fine! — 8 years ago

The history of Freemark Abbey began in 1886, when Josephine Marlin Tychson became the first woman to build and operate a winery in California. The historic site where Josephine's winery, Tychson Cellars, once stood is now known as Freemark Abbey. A blend of 83.4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9.2% Merlot, 4.4% Malbec, & 3% Petit Verdot, dark red with dark berry fruit aromas. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with bits of leather, cacao and oak notes. Tannins are soft and balanced with acidity. Nice. — 8 years ago

Monthly WTF wine group. Special event this month as Ben provided all ‘80s Napa cabs. A few of us chipped in and provided some whites/bubbly.

Touch of VA that stayed with this for a bit. Got slightly better as it stayed in the glass, but the VA turned to a very powerful mint note alongside black licorice.

I always enjoy this wine. This is another good year. There are a lot of things going on when you take your first sniff. Cherry, rich soil, dark fruit and more. Rich blackberry and leather mix well in your mouth and linger nicely. Super finish. — 8 years ago
