This is great! I love the sparkling wine like taste. Went down fast. Would def. Have again. Drank with tandoori chicken, 4 bean salad, and collard greens. — 4 years ago
We really wanted to love this, but alas, we think that around 2012 was when Caymus decided to focus on an à la carte presentation, which makes for quite a shallow encounter.
They have tapped into the logic of the Skinner box operant conditioning. We humanoids press a lever (in this case pull a cork), and a one-night-stand promptly arrives in our glass. Us peeps tend to follow the crowd (I present myself as exhibit A), but when you taste this, it makes a splash, but flatters to deceive.

For the price, this is a surpassingly good red blend. Full taste, jam, blackberry, rich. Very nice! — 6 years ago
tanines and a soft sweet brilliant after taste — 7 months ago
1.5 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment). A remarkable purplish magenta color. On the nose: very aeromatic notes of black & red berries, truffles, loamy soil, worn leather, tobacco leaf, floral, herbaceous. Taste: soft, elegant, balanced, layered mouthfeel wine with blackberry, dark plum, leather, crushed granite, dried herbs, and a spiced cedar long finish with some dusty tannins. YUM! At the start of its drinking window with 20-30 years to go, so no rush. — 9 months ago

Nice taste, nice price! — 5 years ago
Truly an elegant expression from aged Napa wine. The notes of cedar and cigar box coupled with some mushroom and earth tones dominate. On the taste, the rich mouthfeels steel shows some fruit notes with deep blueberry and plum notes. I REALLY LIKE THIS WINE! And am glad to still have this in my cellar... — 6 years ago
Fruity in the beginning and earthy in the end. Facet rich after taste — 6 years ago
Explore Chile and Argentina wine class! The only one I want to remember. Bold nose, SP and PG get "happiness". Herbs, leather, some vanilla, almost a chocolatey taste. Stewed black plums. Lots of tannins, some minerality. — 7 years ago

2 hour decant. A striking purplish dark garnet color. On the nose: beautiful notes of dark fruit, pencil shavings, herbaceous, vanilla, cloves. Taste: creamy, polished, structured wine with blackberry, dark chocolate, minerals, bell pepper, leather, and a decent herbal/potting soil finish. Drinks surprisingly well with the decant at this age, and of course a few more years it will improve. YUM! — 8 months ago

1 hour decant(lots chunky/fine sediment). A gorgeous inky purplish garnet color. On the nose: dark fruit, forest floor, smoked meat, floral, cigar wrapper, pencil lead. Taste: smooth, rich, creamy mouthcoating wine with blackberry/dark cherry, dark chocolate, earth, tobacco, baking spice, and a cedar/graphite medium plus finish with some slight dusty tannins. Had this 2 years ago, and it's improved. In the beginning of its drink window at 18 years? Wow — 9 months ago

Very sweet, fruity, leaves apple taste in mouth — 5 years ago
Very dark red, nose is vanilla, ripe cherry and whyskey, taste of vanilla, a lil oak, ripe cherry and jam. — 6 years ago
Silver oak continues to be my favorite wine with its smooth and silky taste. Obviously Alexander valley over Napa. 2008 is also a real treat. — 6 years ago
Just a taste, pretty nose that didn’t deliver on the palate — 7 years ago

+2 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment). A remarkable dark magenta with some bricking. Nose: Captivating savory notes of dark fruit, herbaceous, funky earth, worn leather, pencil shavings, cedar, smoked meat, maybe a touch of bandaid(brett). Taste: A savory wine with class and elegance... dark currants, tobacco, graphite, saline, cedar, and a spiced earthy minerally medium plus finish. YUM! — 6 months ago
