It is National Drink Wine Day today. Let's start it off with this Australian Blend...

Dark ruby in color with medium intensity and a red rim.

Very fruity on the nose with blackberries, red currants, plums, sweet cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, metals, spices and white pepper.

Medium to full bodied with nice acidity and great legs.

Almost Off dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, smoke, cherries, licorice, Wood, light vanilla, chocolate, Coffee, tobacco and light black pepper.

Long finish with soft tannins and notes of pomegranate.

What a great little wine this is. Not too complicated yet very enjoyable. This 2011 blend is now smooth and elegant.

Good right out of the bottle, no need to decant or wait for it to open up. Great party wine that All my friends enjoyed.
The story behind this is also very unique and interesting.

Sometimes, one needs to enjoy the simple things in life and this is one simple wine, but very enjoyable.

13.5% alcohol by volume.
