Pears and apples and lemons and vanilla and lions and tigers and bears, oh my. Dry and delicious. I highly recommend.
This wine is made down the way from my childhood home and for that reason I am semi-biased. They have a lovely little tasting room with a beautiful porch looking out onto some of the vines and a pond. They also have a wonderful summer concert series featuring a picnic on the lawn, wine, and well-paired music.
I don’t mean to sound like a walking, talking billboard — but I’m all about supporting small town businesses and these guys really deserve it. I honestly love what they’ve done and what they’ve been producing. (I also previously rated this but on site) — 7 years ago

The '06 K Vintners Syrah 'Motor City Kitty' is an opaque purple/black full-bodied wine. Expressive and succulent aromas of smoked meats, roasted spice, blackberry and black cherry jump from the glass. Some flowery and tarry notes are evident on the lengthy finish. I just need to find out what Charles Smith's connection with Detroit, the Motor City, is all about. Is it the Tigers, the Lions, or an old girlfriend? — 12 years ago
Golden color, light fruits on the nose, honey, apricot, and black tea on the palate. Excellent! — 6 years ago

Very delicious, toasted caramel and rich porter-like flavour. Hard to place what else I'm tasting but this robust ale is unique and a seasonal treat. — 11 years ago
Carmenere has quickly become one of our favorites and 2009 would have more body but this 2012 is very good. — 11 years ago

The 1988 d'Yquem is almost identical to the bottle I tasted in 2016. This is almost Barsac-like in style on the nose with scents of barley sugar, complemented by marmalade and mandarin, fresh and vibrant with a palpable sense of energy. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous texture but it is not, and has never been, as unctuous as either the 1989 or 1990. However, what the 1988 does possess is a surfeit of vitality and tension. There are layers of blood orange, quince and marmalade towards the finish that as the aromatics suggest, comes across as quite Barsac in style. Superb. Tasted at Château Batailley. Coeur from Hall is not the best Cab they produce. The lions share of Hall wines are spectacular. 95+. The Coeur is a bit tight on the tannins but loaded with berries on the front and had a nice long finish. Needs a few years in the bottle to soften the tannins. Vintage 2012. — 10 years ago
Light, great with Chinese food. — 10 years ago
1986. Day 1 was charming out of the gate, then ultimately showed its oak and structure and a sort of pine quality. Preferred Haut-Batailley. Day 2 had sufficiently mellowed but still felt a little down the middle somehow. Cool side by side — 11 years ago
Love this Viognier blend! The Chardonnay cuts the sweetness and adds a lot. 2nd favorite wine. — 11 years ago
