This is the Veilles Vignes version /old vines it was an exclusive at K & L wines. Needs more time. Elegant. Better than last time perhaps i am in a better mood? Lovely slightly bitter. Green apple, chalk, hint off white pepper. Quite tannic. I should have not opened this. — 10 years ago

Magnum 1993 Domaine Ponsot Cuvèe Vieilles Vignes Close de la Roche PN. Dinner at Bouch w S&L DiM and P&S Co. Opened this and drank before the 1990 Latour out of magnum. This was just so lovely to drink with the rich French food and K particularly enjoyed having this out of large format. Thought it drank as well as he could have hoped. — 10 years ago

So complex and funky. Layers and layers. Quince, bruised pineapple, oxidative, button mushrooms, hazelnuts, saffron(?). 2006 vintage, 8 years on lees! Jan 2015 disgorgement, 4 g/l dosage. 80% chard, 10% pinot noir, 10% pinot meunier. — 10 years ago

Bouche froide et tendue mais prenant de l ampleur avec l aeration
Finale sur une matière longue fraîche mais avec une belle race et maturité
