A fantastic Provençal rosé. I feel like I'm back in Cannes, on the Croisette... so excited about the mussels in cream we are pairing it with. The wine has some grapefruit, but the acid and bitter are well-balanced with some bright freshness. Beautiful pale pink colour too. — 8 years ago

$55. Super deal, just slightly sweet with a brief sniff of petrol. When's the last time a Pinot Gris blew you away?? White flowers, marzipan, peach pit.. the sugar and natural bitterness of the grape balance well (bittersweet pairing). I liked the grand marnier/tangerine notes and heavy character of this wine. I'd bet $50 this is a warm Alsace year. Felt a little new world but had a French/Austrian/German mineral nose with my blindees.. they both called French Viognier, Marsanne/Roussane, Gewurtztraminer, and a RS Riesling to give an idea of this wine's character. Rich bottle. A very complex nose, continously evolving in the glass. Honey, tropical fruit, ananas and melon, candied fruit, then evolve with spicy notes of mostarda and canfora. Rich mouth, round, butter, tropical fruit and a great fresh acidity. Long long persistance. Great wine — 7 years ago

Much better on the empty-stomach palette. The notes on this wine that came with the glass are, "Lemon and Sea Brine. Bright aromas are Meyer lemon zest, Bartlett pear, nectarine, fresh dough and sea brine lead to a crisp, citrusy palate of lemon, white grapefruit, and minerals in this refreshing white from the south of France." I guess I wanted a refreshing glass. — 8 years ago
