WOTN - am amazing 89. Our group tasted thru first and second growths from this vintage and only now are they approaching their true potential. Classic cedar lead pencil cigar box left bank. Depth of fruit and a haunting finish. Not many can make wine like this. A legend. — 10 years ago

Very smooth. Good finish. — 11 years ago
This is an urban boutique winery's showcase wine. It' big and chewy without losing its prettiness. Nose is medium(+) intensity with plum, blackberry, nutmeg, and dry earth. Palate shows sweet, chewy tannins, bright acidity, black fruit, baking spices, dark cocoa powder, and americano coffee. Finish is long and delicious. — 12 years ago
1979 Clos Du Mesnil. What do you do when you are confronted with a legendary wine? You hope it doesn’t disappoint. At Pages in Paris today, Tomo delighted us with this outstanding bottle. Medium golden hue. The nose was to die for: fresh, white flower, chalk and honeyed - alluring and forever changing in the glass while keeping its freshness. Hints of truffle wafted away within minutes. What seemed like an impossible dream of the ultimate Champagne remained intact. Fine but persistent bubbles, huge but balanced concentration with a refreshing, zesty acidity and a finish I can still taste an hour and a half after having drained the last few precious drops of this legend. Wow, wow, wow. Incredible. 100 points. Don’t be afraid to open now or in 20 years. — 7 years ago

I had the pleasure of interviewing Ivo Jeramaz on my last visit to Napa Valley. He's the nephew of winemaking legend, Mike Grgich and has taken the lead in much of the wineries day-to-day operations along with Mike's daughter, Violet. Ivo is a quiet and thoughtful in his speech—and his wines seem to reflect this. The 2012 Merlot is carmine-hued, and is more transparent than most Merlot I've encountered from Napa Valley. It possesses a kind of quiet restraint and lovely finesse with nuanced aromas of red currant, pie cherries, dried herbs and underbrush intertwining fine tannins a tart acidity. 14.0% ABV | Sample

2006 and 2007 magnum GGs side by side! These two epic bottles were the stuff of legend with the 06 showing more forward momentum and complexity, while its 07 counterpart seemed to sit and brood in its obvious youthfulness... Both were sublime, but the 06 is the one to drink and get all hedonistic over while the 07 slumbers happily. #Keller #Hubacker #grossesgewächs #GG #Riesling — 10 years ago

This is spicy and meaty to the max! BBQ and peppery with a chalky texture and a big, slightly hot finish. This wine is unapologetic. Gorgeous juice. — 8 years ago

The wine needs to breathe a little, but the wait will be rewarded. It's a complex, although still young red that gives a good name not only to kosher wines, but affordable red wines in general. — 11 years ago
Dear Lord this stuff is mind blowingly amazing. Bottle label is rare in South African imports for being balls out Afrikaner but also beautiful. — 11 years ago
