One of the best wines I have ever tasted. — 9 years ago
Not quite as sensational as our bottle in February due to storage differences. Cooked fruit of; rhubarb, raspberries, strawberries, dusty crush stones, leather, dark vanilla barrel toast, black earth and pebbles, black tea, hint of mushroom. Finishes soft and elegant with just a touch of funk. Hope you all enjoyed Christmas!!! — 10 years ago
Waiting a long time on this one. Brought back from Chile in 2005. Not a huge cab fan but this is impressive. We’ll structured and complex. Tobacco, black pepper, dark cherry, caramel apple, spice and almost a tawny port finish and color. — 5 years ago
Dark Ruby. Lovely aromatics, violets, roses, flower garden that blossomed into a nice layered flavor trove of chocolate dipped cherry and toasted cinnamon stick. Perfect compliment to a NY Strip. — 7 years ago
Smells "classy" with ripe plums, dark berries set amongst some high quality cedar oak and a touch of floral and greenery coming through too. Quite plush on the palate, with the structural components well integrated, it's just about good to go now but will do well in the cellar too. The sort of wine that would appeal to the majority. — 10 years ago
Last night in MT at the lake. Gave this several hours of air. Nice dark tawny color. Vibrant in the glass. The nose is great right away and stayed on point through the evening. Notes of black cherries, warm raspberries, old cedar, some plums and a little leather saddle. Rich and silky in the mouth. Velvet glove. Long finish. Great wine. — 7 years ago
Dark purple in the decanter. Smooth and spicy, rich and complex. — 10 years ago
Color me impressed, the nose on the 2012 Opus One was simply stunning. Fresh floral tones of violet and lavender gave way to ripe dark-red fruits and subtle hints of baking spice. It enveloped the senses with silky textures which seem to come in vibrant waves, carrying crushed berry and black currant. It finished back on a floral note, which was offset by cherry pit and hints of sweet spice. The best part, is that it should only get better with age. — 11 years ago

Decant and pour. Restrained notes of dark fruit, smoke, leather, tobacco, grilled bell pepper. Taste: cherry, blueberry, currants, crushed granite, truffles. A young wine that I would luv to drink again in 15 years. — a year ago
