Very famous vineyard and i think chris ringland work on it before. Light ruby rim. Nose of tea lea, caramel. Palate: vanila, blackberry, mineral, stony, very balance and tannin soften and integrated and slight savoury at the end. Cola, liqourish, v complex, herbal hint, soy sauce, bitter sweet, saspiralla and soda — 7 years ago
Darrell Lea Raspberry Liquorice Twists on the nose, with hints of cherry cola and vanilla. Red fruit with a tarry undercurrent on the palate, plus bright acid and driving tannins. Enjoying this. — 8 years ago
Always express admiration for Joe Tensley wine and his entry level “Fundamental” isn’t an exception. This casual, mildly aromatic but super approachable Pinot Noir showcases a well-made, berry driven with medium tannins and a juicy finish. The mouthfeel is mildly spice and subtle earthiness. Never disappoints! — 10 months ago

The 2021 Red Wine All Blocks, Tensley's Grenache-based wine, is a knock-out. Bright red-toned fruit, blood orange, spice, menthol and cinnamon are all dialed up. This succulent, juicy 2021 delivers the goods. Dollops of Syrah from Colson Canyon and Mourvèdre from the estate vineyard round out the blend. The 2021 is supremely delicious. Pepper, anise and clove on the nose. Berry stems and leaves, touch of cinnamon, cherry bark, and thinner citrus finish. A tweener that straddles the juicier pinot noirs and more lithe darker reds. This used to be the territory stalked and owned by great Merlot and its blends, but since its excommunication, this is the replacement crowd pleaser. Strong contender for your weeknight wine. — 6 years ago

Wilke and Lea brought this bottle from SoCal. Fruity, cloudy, great Pinot that was spicier the next day. — 7 years ago
Hazy deep yellow gold (unfiltered? skin contact?). Caramelized balsa and menthol peaches in the abundant nose. Confirmed on the medium full palate which adds layers of dried quince, baking spices, pickled watermelon rind, and a host of other subtle flavors. Medium acidity from entry; bitter almond on the lengthy, non-stop finish. More complex than you might be expecting, this is a white for hearty fare. Drink now through 2027. — 10 months ago
Somewhat closed aromatics even after 2 hours aeration, but rich, ripe, explosive redfruits and dark fruits, some tannins remain, long finish, very fine Syrah!! — 2 years ago

Great balance of acidity, minerality and chalkiness that showcases terroir of Cotes de Blancs (specifically wine comes from Le Mesnil sur Oger and Lea Chetillions). Lemon zest, freshly baked bread toast and long, dry finish. — 9 months ago
