Manuela Z tasted 2011 vintage Amore & Follia Super Tuscan on 2017 December 06. Biodynamic winery from the Illy scion. Bold, structured, chewy, very drinkable, will impress guests without breaking the bank. — 8 years ago
We had the 2015,2016 and 2000 at the Chateau. They are all exceptional and worth every penny! — 8 years ago
Bold fruit with a smooth finish, purchased at the winery.

Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018: Medium-plus body. Bold flavors. Fine tannins. Dark fruits. Blackberry. Cherry. Plum. Vanilla. Oak. Smooth, soft finish. For me, this is a must-try iconic Napa Valley winery and an almost perfect example of a Napa Cab. Such great depth & balance for such a young wine. Paired this beauty with a grilled ribeye steak & all the fixings. Great day to all! Cheers🍷 — 3 years ago

Cheval des Andes tasting with their technical manager who is also an assistant winemaker. Tasted ‘05, ‘07, ‘14 and ‘15. Very cool story behind this winery (and its affiliation with Chateau Cheval Blanc).
This contained the largest percentage of Malbec they’ve ever used at 83%, rounded out by petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Decidedly darker and more dense on the mid palate than the ‘15. The texture was more plush and this seems to be open for business now...not sure it has the structure to hold as long as the ‘15. More plum, added black currant and licorice. — 6 years ago

Really enjoy this 2013 meritage. Very balanced. — 8 years ago
A surprise stunner. Incredible depth of complexity that shows itself as this deep colored rich but not overbearing Pinot noir breathes.
It’s my pick for this week’s well valued - with just enough intrigue, complexity, and fancy — to keep it in your thoughts winner. — 4 years ago
There is an irony thing in the nose along with violet and rose petals and cherry and a bit of black pepper. This is the nose I fell in love with 10 years ago. The palate is very well designed with a strong acid backbone, a very nice round and radiating fruit, a bit of a sweet touch, some nice oily, scratchy tannins which kick things up for a rather long finish with that fruit, pepper and a long lasting floral aftertaste. So great. This is 7 Euro when you buy it from the winery directly and it's 15 kilometers from where I am right now 😍 — 5 years ago
You ever have a wine that transcends you to a different place? This ain’t it! We hit this winery about ten years ago and had a great time tasting and we bought a couple of bottles. The fruit is absolutely gone-zo. I love Bordeaux style wines and the earth aspect but this was well dirt. Too bad — 7 years ago
Delicious. Balanced fruit with earthy flavors in the back. Great Languedoc red! — 8 years ago
Amazing vintage of Peter Michael. Delicious. — 8 years ago
On a trip to CA, tried 10 AuBonClimat wines. Jim Clendenen, owner of ABC in 2000, created his own label to explore making unique wines from his Le Bon Climat vineyard, later expanded the project to include fruit from other historic Santa Barbara County sites. Jim named this wine "The Pip" in homage to his Border Collie, former winery mascot. Aromas of stone and tropical fruits. Apple and pear flavors with lemon zest and a touch of vanilla oak. Well balanced and Crisp on the finish ending with mineral tones. — 9 years ago
