Diamond Collection Black Label Claret California Cabernet Sauvignon

Generous upon opening, but dries down nicely after some air. Potent blackberry and anise flavors. The finish is dry and structured with cedar notes. Uncharacteristic of low end, crowed pleasing California Cabernet, and a bargain at $12.

Dark ruby in color with a purple rim.
Sweet red berries on the nose with chocolate, sage, metals, coffee, rust and cloves.

13.4% alcohol with nice, long, thin legs.
Thin on the mouth feel.

On the palate, blackberries, vanilla, oak, black pepper and herbs.

Nice finish with soft tannins and black peppercorn with a little burn on the back of the throat.

As it opened up, tannins on the mid palate increased, and tart cherry appears on the finish.
Blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 12 months in french oak.

Medium body, low tannins but nicely oaked. Plum and dark cherry notes.

2011 soft tannins but still good with fat and juicy steak.

Nice fruit aroma...smells like a Christmas party.

This is smooth mellow cab. I really enjoyed this with my steak tacos.

Soft ripe red berry tones, boysenberry and raspberry on the nose. Soft tannin. Full mouth feel with good acidity. Deep, dark and lasting on the finish.
