Had this on the Scotland barge. — 6 years ago
Loving 2015's. St. Joseph has so much goodness to offer. Nose is quiet yet deep at the same time. Black fruits and floral. Some granite lurking. Palate is massive. Showing much younger than the Barge from the other night. Dark, brooding and very closed. This will need a few hours. This is super tight right now. It is all there and so clean and such purity. Great balance and sap. What a great bottle. Can't wait to taste In a few hours. — 7 years ago

The aromatics on this are powerful and complex. Florals, dark berries and savory components. This is generous and rewarding in youth. A beautiful example of savory/briny character accented by rich red fruit. Structured and textured. This shows great complexity, but also inviting freshness. Absolutely great. Quite good. Served on Saroche barge by captain who bought it at Beaune auction — 6 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is Julien Barge Saint Joseph "Les Coteaux de Legende" it's not in the database. Thanks.
Soaring nose. So 2015. A hint of Brett is so appealing here amongst all the blackberry and raspberry deep fruit. Intoxicatingly aromatic. Palate is as 15 as it gets. Intensely complex, juicy, ripe and so deep with out of this world freshness. Thrilling. Hints of game and smoke with an intense granite finish. Awesome wine and shows the greatness of 15 at the value price point. Awesome wine. — 7 years ago
A great rosé for a sundowner on a barge in Brooklyn. Tasty not too dry but not too sweet. Great price — 8 years ago
Well this is new. A rosé I actually like. If you're like me and find rosé a gross, confused wine with identity crisis, fear not! This affordable bottle not only doesn't taste bad, it tastes pretty darn swell. It's not bitter and sharp and it doesn't just barge in your mouth all bossy like it knows what you like to drink. This wine is actually smooth and mellow, it's not overly dry or painfully acidic. It's got a fruitier flavor, but it's still super bright and summery. I want to make sangria with this and not even add sugar. Just all yummy goodness. — 9 years ago
Phenomenal drank w/Al & Elaine at Sugar barge 11-7-13 — 11 years ago
Nose is gorgeous. Like a mountain air flowing over a field of tropical flowers. Beautiful. A hint of opulence but perfectly integrated and so elegant. Wow.
Palate is mineral. Light integrated fruit. Delicious. Lacks the density to be better than this but good I love this. Blind might have guessed savoie but doesn’t have that pine thing. But it’s that elegant. So clean and perfect. Seamless.
Long finish. Like drinking fresh cold creek water after a long hot hike.
This is insane for 30 minutes and then just very good afterwards. Not a wine to sit with methinks.

I’m much higher than Josh Raynolds on this. Soaring nose. Stunning blend of game, flowers, and more flowers, like violet and pastille as well. Amazing purity. The nose is really what it is all about. Just stunning. True ZOMG nose. Granite as well. Palate is structured and very juicy with stunning freshness and purity. Wow. An amazing mouthfeel and such length and texture. Really coats the palate. Stunning richness and decadence. Amazing balance. This is absolutely outrageous. — 6 years ago
Great steely gold, as if reflected in the light of an early spring. Nose of white roses, lyche peel, and gooseberries. A bit thin on the palate but it survived a week under the vacuum pump so it's got stamina! Would be great with grilled prawns on the skin and freshly made mayonnaise on a barge in Oslo at the hight of summer! — 7 years ago

Fresh fruit, light pepper, a little smoky, a bit of bacon on the nose. Good, smooth tannins on the palate. — 2 years ago
