Another creature: a slightly oxidative St. Laurent rose that could be confused for aged Tempier or Lopez. Easily the best 2014 wine at the VDP Wienborse fair, and also one of the most interesting rose wines I have ever encountered. — 10 years ago

VDP auction bottling. Hard to describe this one as its weightless and in complete balance. There's no hard edges anywhere, but still one of the most hardcore wines that I've ever tasted. The acid level tips the scales and its tart citrusy profile does include some tropical fruits but this this wine is all about its acid drive and nervous minerality. Unique. — 10 years ago

Still drinking well. I'm familiar with the later history of Audelssa, but did not know about the Arrowood connection from 2000-2002. Interesting that this has "produced and bottled by Arrowood Vineyards & Winery" on the back and a Schaefer cork. — 11 years ago
