My first Israeli wine. Heavy sediment, benefited from a decant, opened up gradually over two hours. Nicely balanced cabernet blend. — 7 years ago
2016 vintage. Selected by Jonathan Maltus (Le Dôme, Teyssier and other Saint-Emilions + World's End in Napa Valley), this is a Merlot-driven Bordeaux Supérieur, in a lightly oaked blend with Cabernet Franc. Red cherries and strawberry jam with just a hint of oak. Juicy and ripe sweet red fruit, soft tannin and good length. Nice value at 11 euro. Has an old-world-meets-new-world feel about it. Who said Bordeaux isn't sexy? Abv. 13%. Well done again Mr. Maltus! — 4 years ago
2009 vintage. Mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with a little bit of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Serious juice from serious vineyards in Napa Valley (the lower slopes of Coombsville, Sugarloaf Mountain and Circle S, the latter one of the highest parts in the Napa Valley). Cassis, cedarwood, licorice and lead pencil, reminiscent of Pauillac. Concentrated, ripe black fruit, but not jammy. Powerful tannic structure and good acidity. Long finish with licorice and a distinctive minerality. Maltus obviously doesn't go for the easy commercial jammy style. Incredible Napa Valley value at 30 euro! Perfectly integrated 14,8% abv. — 6 years ago
Very good! Fruit bomb Bordeaux blend — 6 years ago
Completely surprised with this NZ Sauvignon Blanc. First night having some wine in a long time. Paired with the Salmon over cedar plank with crab topping and honey glaze. I wonder what our New Zealand friends Aurore and Jonathan would think. Please send us more!!! :) — 7 years ago

Winery is in CT. Grapes are from (and vinified) in CA. Dark cherry and vanilla on the nose and pallet. Silky and luxurious. Fruity but not sweet. Well balanced. 15.2% Alcohol. Pleasant surprise. — 5 years ago
Tight upon first opening. Slight notes of tobacco, coffee, yet still light and acidic on the mouth. — 6 years ago
The 2015 Pezat Red, Jonathan Maltus's entry-level red, is flat-out delicious. Sweet red cherry and plum fruit are front and center in this racy, open-knit wine. There is much to like, including the wine's very accessible price. I would prefer to drink this succulent Saint-Émilion over the next few years, while the fruit retains its youthful vibrancy. @Jonathan Wall - got me back on track. One of my favorite examples of Pinot Noir from anywhere. 2008 showing loads of structure, forest-y notes and wonderfully deep red fruit. This will be long lived and will really hit stride in a few years, but drinks very well with about an hour of air right now. — 7 years ago

Must decant, right out of the bottle it’s a little green, but cassis still comes through. Give it 45 min plus and it’s a treat. Dark black fruit, well integrated silky tannins, slightly dense full mouthfeel with nice long finish. I just love this wine. — 3 years ago
