Bright and fresh berries, very pure fruit, well balanced structurally. Fantastic finish. — 3 years ago
Label got a bit messed up, but the wine was really nice. — 4 years ago
Mmm I smell the antediluvian savoir faire of Burgundy and taste the volcanic rich essence of the Willamette Valley in this old world style Pinot Noir. Tobacco, cedar, black plum and black cherry, even a slight hint of vanilla infiltrate the nose and gloss over the palate wi th the addition of black pepper and black licorice on the finish. Truly exceptional pinot noir!!! — 5 years ago
Beautifully constructed and classically built up, with tar, roses and mineral accents on the intriguing nose. Still tight and youthful but accessible thanks to great fruit and integrated acidity. Drink through 2025 at least. @Johan Eriksson — 6 years ago

Damn. I am all about this wine tonight. Cherry and raspberry notes on both the nose and palate. Beautiful pinot coloring in the glass and a glorious finish. I will definitely be seeking this one out again. Highly recommended! 75% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 5% Pinot Gris. 5/1/22. — 3 years ago
Peppered spice and cheesy umami overlaying funky fruit. — 4 years ago
So this was part of tasting this next to a cider with 50% of this same wine added to the apple cider. I like the cider better. This is coats the palate. I get lemon curd, grapefruit pith, almost a bitter green character, and a hint of tea. Very interesting. — 5 years ago

So good! Earthy, spicy, well balanced. Definitely buy again. — 3 years ago
Best domestic orange wine I’ve ever had. On the nose, almost Pinot noir-like with earth and dark cherries. In the mouth, the lightness of a white, with the tannin and mouthfeel of a red - a bit of dark fruit and cracked pepper. Excellent minerality. Good acid. Medium-long finish. — 4 years ago

I like Blaufränkisch and this is my first Oregon expression of it. Tastes like a snappier darker Oregon Pinot Noir. Neat wine. Johan is a biodynamic winery a few clicks closer to the coast from Eola-Amity Hills. Good value. — 5 years ago
Third time trying this. Tightly coiled and reminiscent of young Meursault on popping the cork, with a certain reductive flintiness to its wonderfully pure Jonagold apple fruit. After being open for a couple days the wine is altogether more expressive, with creme brulee, almond, and bread dough aromas complementing its still vibrant core of orchard fruit and minerality. Strikingly rich and sumptuous for its relatively modest alcohol and lip-smacking acid structure. Given how positively it evolved and unfurled with a few days worth of oxygen, I'd lay this down for at least a couple years. Hats off. — 6 years ago
