Plavac Vrhunsko Vino 2021

Simple crimson color and rim.
Extremely rich on the nose with brambles of layered herbs and inky fruits hinting at the terroir. Astringency on the nose as well with minimal tannins.
Remarkably, this tastes how it smells; full-bodied and fresh with a medium-long finish that opens up nicely.

Tart, medium acidity, light bouquet, well rounded and balanced. Also, the app has the location wrong - this is Croatian, not from Slovenia. — 2 years ago

Barrique Ivan Dolac Plavac Mali 2017

Strong cherry nose with bold undertones of wet hay, mud, manure and crushed granite or asphalt. Color of dark cherry, medium bodied, with a strong tannic palate that immediately dries the tongue and top of the mouth. Palette is sharp and prominent, with notes of brandy and dark cherry, pepper, sharp acidity, with a short finish with notes of dark chocolate, iron and bloody meat at the edges. — 2 months ago

Barrique Plavac Mali

Medium ruby color, concentrated black cherry and ripe plum aroma, medium sweet entry, but getting drier afterwards. Good balance on the palate. Tannin medium plus, but the texture is polished. It kinda feels like a blend between Rhône Grenache and Puglia Primotivo. — 3 years ago

Vrhunsko Pošip

Aroma of juicy, ripe pineapple. Slightest hint of bitter lemon. Complex and beautiful. Pošip is great, and this is a particularly good one. — 6 years ago

Vrhunsko Bijelo Pošip 2023

Deliciously White out of 100% Posip Grape, an ancient indigenous Croatian varietal that has its origins from the Korčula island, located in the south of Hvar Island as well.
Pure expression of ripe apricot on both nose and palate, it has a great tension and weight on the mouth with distinctive layers of baked stony fruits. Long but not over lingering finish with a bit of texture.
This wine style will take you to the next level when paired with classic mediterranean food, and beside the traditional grilled cheese, it can be paired with some Dalmatian pršut (prosciutto), and aged cheeses as well.
Cheers to autochthonous grapes!

This is a v good Dingac - one that gives you a precise sense of what Peljesac reds are all about. It’s a super solid; not tops but an A- at the VERY least. — 5 years ago
