Very light Chard not heavy oak — 11 years ago
Dark red heading in the direction of turning brick, with a blackish dense center. Lots of wood on the nose at first, but recedes after opening up to blackberries, black licorice, mocha, mint and vanilla. Medium to full bodied, lush and smooth in mouthfeel, with soft tannin and low acidity. Flavors of red currant, cranberry and red licorice. Then there's mocha, mint and vanilla again. It finishes so smoothly and elegantly, with cranberry and cedar. — 7 years ago
What more could you want in a cab? One of my favorite wineries and an excellent vintage. Well worth the money to add a few bottles to your collection. — 7 years ago
I may be a bit biased, since this is one of my all time favorite wineries, but there are few (if any other) wines with this amount of pedigree and age for 25 dollars. On the nose, dried cherries, tobacco leaf and leather. In the mouth, red fruits, a straight-razor leather oiled strop, slight grip of tannin and some acid. Medium-long finish. — 8 years ago
A great Cabernet and Shiraz blend by Psagot winery. — 8 years ago
Blackberry, boysenberry. Raspberry notes with some mushrooms and gaminess. Very good friendly (had with sesame glazed salmon). — 9 years ago
2006 Cabernet from one of my favorite wineries. Not overly tannic, nice black cherry, chocolate flavors with black pepper at the finish. — 9 years ago
I've been loving Ojai for so long. This producer has to be in my top 10 favorite Cali wineries, no question. — 9 years ago

Dry Riesling. 3 brothers. — 11 years ago
One of CA's oldest wineries, Far Niente, founded in 1885 by world traveler John Benson. The winery flourished until Prohibition, at which time it was abandoned and fell into complete disrepair. The stately stone shell of a winery was purchased in 1979 by Gil Nickel. Tropical and stone fruit aromas with complex spice and oak notes. On the palate apple, pear and citrus flavors, concentrated, with toasty oak and honey tones. Lingering finish ending with vibrant mineral characteristics. — 7 years ago
16,5/20 — 8 years ago
Sweet floral aromas, killer! — 8 years ago
This is a varietal more Tx wineries should be producing. Could use a bit more acid but the fruit is damn tasty! — 9 years ago
Crazy awesome, natty deliciousness. Wild raspberry limeade, can't stop drinking it. — 10 years ago
Super fruity and delicious — 10 years ago
Fresh and crisp on the intake, round as it hits the back of the throat and a long graceful finish. One of our favorite ethical wineries, Solms Delta, this earthy wine is bright cherry rose. — 11 years ago

if you see "Assyrtiko" on a #wine list, just order it. You'll love it, I promise. It's the perfect white #wine for a sweltering summer, refreshing AND interesting AND affordable. Here at the surprisingly great new resto @MotelMorris. (And #Greek wineries: you need to do a better job of promoting how delicious your #wines can be!) — 7 years ago
