2006 Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon - aging well with elegance and restraint. Drink now or check back in 3-4 yrs.

Nose of bright fruit Settles into soft well balanced almost elegant Structure is impressive!

2006 vintage outstanding. Still some dark cherry up front with red licorice with a very smooth finish with dome minerality

30+ minute decant. Holding up well for a 2006. Nose has smoke, cedar, and black cherry. Big fruit on the palate in the form of more cherries, blackberries, and rhubarb. Great finish to top it off.
