Sweet but very easy to drink. Will definitely buy again — 5 years ago
Sweet sorrel, strawberry, and cherry jam, mild tarragon, slight cinnamon smell but not pronounced, ruby with slight magenta color, taste is holds the tone straight forward, slight cinnamon taste and maybe all spice that’s underlying and steady, cherry, strawberry and slight bitterness but acid dominant with a slight leather, red licorice green vine finish — 6 years ago
Color of dark ruby-purple, with a nose of blackberry jam, vanilla, and sawdust. Full-bodied with amazing balance. Nice smooth finish. Tannins are there, and grippy. This is a really nice wine. With the tannin structure and fruit in place, I could see this aging for years to come. — 7 years ago
Super wet and fruit forward, jammy, boysenberry, smells of hibiscus and cinnamon ginger cookies (slightly), slight sweet tobacco, lots of body and subtle jam, not too structured, fair intricate with the jam highlight, nice sort of see through color — 8 years ago

This is a blend, but hit all the high notes I love about Zin. Bright big red berry jam and black pepper! — 3 years ago

Plum, blueberry, blackberry jam, blood orange, cassis, graphite, dried flowers, clove, white pepper. — 6 years ago
A bit bigger with more ripe strawberry jam taste than other gamay. But as it opens up, floral and mineral notes come in to balance. Nose is wonderful and earthy. I really enjoyed this. — 7 years ago
Very nice wet subtle, less jam than other ridge zin blends, rich red color, the layering is really great, rustic, super balanced, just jam with all types of berries mostly raspberry and strawberry — 9 years ago
Deep ruby in color, almost purple; cassis, black cherries, and cedar on the nose; high acidity; high tannins; tastes like black plums, berry jam, and baking spices with a medium finish. Nellie says it's ok, and I like it. We both think it goes well with a steak. — 2 years ago
Very buttery hence the name. 🤣 i like it! — 5 years ago
This is a really great wine for the price. Full flavor of berries, blackberries. So jammy and smooth. — 6 years ago
Best slightly chilled. Deep ruby color. Very fruity nose, almost like jam. Very intense flavor, fruit initially on the palate, fully body, very smooth finish hint of vanilla and spice. High alcohol (abv 15.5%). Trader Joe's $25-27. Would love to have most nights, cold or warm season. — 6 years ago
Just can't get enough of this bottle, best QPR in Champagne, for my palate!
Prior notes apply; Nose is toasty brioche and a minerally quince jam. Ultra clean, creamy palate reflecting the same notes.
I love this wine! Thank you @Lyle Fass — 7 years ago
