I’m having trouble finding anything wrong with these bubbles- they are the perfect combination of yeastiness and sweetness of a cake with an extraordinary butter frosting, and a fruit compote on the side. Serious structure, and a little bitterness creeping in only at the finish. — 4 years ago
Brilliant young light zesty Sauvignon Blanc. Nose: yellow apples, green peaches, celery, acacia flowers, kiwi and pineapple notes. Taste is perfectly balanced with fruity sourness and sweetness. Great choice for hot summer day with fresh oysters or clams, or light vegetables salads. — 6 years ago

Deep Ruby with a Smoky floral nose that shows more syrah than Grenache at this point. Nice violet and forest floor notes. A bit tight at first but broadens on the palate with sit and the. Firm moderate tannins - a lovely beefy wine. — 8 years ago
Honey on opening, opens up to citrus blossom, lemon and lime, white flowers. Slight wet stone minerality. Chalky acidity and as it warms a lovely rich mouth feel with super crisp finish. — 10 years ago
Lime and citrus notes with saline notes. Inspired by a recent note @Ira Schwartz about a delicious Chablis he had. Oak has been thoroughly absorbed. I haven’t had many Chablis from Les Clos but lived up to its exalted status. See previous Delectable note. Great with fresh Pacific Oysters. — a year ago

Wine was suggested by the magician himself @Ira Schwartz . We decanted the wine and it was needed. The wine developed well over the course of about 90 mins. At first it was a smooth mineral forward wine but developed some complex fruit flavors such a pear. It paired well with both the short rib lasagna and the sea bass my wife and I had that night. — 6 years ago
White fruit, crisp but also volume and length. Improved after opening. Will go a few years. — 10 years ago
Good yummy wine. Good alcohol content. Peach nodes and sweet but tasty. Might be better than green wine. Pairs with undercooked peas 🪐 — a year ago

Wow I don’t drink a lot of Bordeaux but this was for a very special birthday and a big bottle seems in order ... it lived up to all expectations ... filled with many savory aromas in flavors like mushrooms, beef jerky, soy sauce but then also the trademark graphite/pencil lead quality. At 19 still seemed to have some years left to go before peaking!

Oily and beautiful. Not brimming with acidity that will shoot to the stars, but it's softer palate feel is welcomed and very pleasant to sip on. — 9 years ago
Generally regarded as one of Australia's better Pinot Noirs on the basis of its perfumed nose and plummy medium bodied palate with lovely silky tannins. Could identify with @Ira Schwartz note recently of aromas of boot polish. I used to say varnish but I think we are on the same page. Great Pinot. — 10 years ago
