Tranditonally un-chill filtered made whiskey . Sweet smokiness on nose with a long finish — 8 years ago
This bottle haven been open for 24 hours was showing better than my last encounter a few weeks ago.
Light on its feet and without weight/density on the palate (due to 13.2% alc?) this has the elegant fruity/floral notes I adore in a pool-side quaffer or a light food wine.
It reminded me of Carlisle...which is a BIG compliment. — 9 years ago

My ideal trousseau — 9 years ago

Lovely with roast chicken. — 9 years ago
Excellent depth. Went beautifully with a delicate smoked salmon and then a fabulous veal osso bucco — 10 years ago
Organic wine from Italy that we had at Belissimo restaurant in Ireland. Great smooth medium bodied wine that lingers as it goes down. Nursing with cassis, twig and oak tannins . Very nice! — 7 years ago
Drinks way above its weight (cost). Medium body, summer stone fruit. — 8 years ago
Viognier-ish, perfumey, surprisingly dry — 9 years ago
Really great trousseau. — 9 years ago
This is getting more complex with age. Dark fruits, smokiness, some cloves. Really nice. — 9 years ago
Extraordinario!!!
No tengo palabras... ...simplemente "¡WOW!"... — 9 years ago
I consider this a more full bodied wine. Typically a Cab drinker but this Merlot was quite good. Strong plum and cranberry flavors with a bit of a peppery finish. Alcohol content seems high with half glass consumed! Surprised that I am enjoying this one as much as I am. — 10 years ago
Showing incredibly well. Very left Bank Bordeaux at the moment. The label is simply amazing — 8 years ago
Bloody good. It had to be as it cost the price of a small duchy.
I have a whole bottle of this greatness with me. Not a good idea.
Taste is sort of dry, not sweet and not bitter...all in equal mix. Taste of lots of stuff. It's been through different cask apparently. Bourbon, Madeira, Port...
Lovely aroma. Doesn't come to hit you right back. — 9 years ago
Smooth and smoky, from the Isle of Skye. Another one of the whiskies we tasted at the November Old Line Scotch Club meeting. #talisker #tenyear #whisky #oldlinescotchclub — 9 years ago
Only for special occasion. Good or bad. This one is still special — 9 years ago
The pale golden straw color is appealing, while the nose certainly isn’t scaring anyone away. Clean earth notes define the apple, papaya and lime aromas beautifully. The palate shows off-dry pear, apple and Meyer lemon flavors on a bed of acidity. Finishing long, it’s the earth and citrus that stays around after the sip. The wine’s body makes it a lot more versatile that just “salads and sipping.” Winemaker Markus Niggli recommends you pair it with anything off the grill. — 10 years ago

Funky nose. Plenty of cherry. Mouth feel is tart and full. Rose petals meets berry cobbler and green apples. A lovely Carneros Pinot example. — 7 years ago
