Light to medium bodied, Sherlock Holmes feel, drinks nicely, aged very well. Tasted better after it breathed, would drink it now and not wait much longer. What a delicious wine for our Christmas Dinner! — 10 years ago
Back from vay-cay, perfect pairing of Za and gamay. — 11 years ago
N: vanilla, steamed broccoli, black cherry, cinnamon. P: bright!, silky. L/4+/L — 11 years ago
Sugar Ray, not Larry Holmes. This has finesse and nuance- not an 'in your face' berry explosion. Liked it quite a bit. — 11 years ago
Such an unbridled beauty! This is pedal to the metal with intoxicating berry compote laced with swiss chocolate in the aroma. Mind bending intensity and wonderful structure. May not be for everyone, but it IS for me!!! Also, an absolute pleasure to meet Mrs. Kelly Peterson-Holmes as she presented her wines admirably. — 7 years ago
A small family-owned winery in Mendocino County, bonded in 1982, located at the northwest end of the Anderson Valley on 59 acres of the original Holmes Ranch. Still standing on the property are the now-refurbished ranch house, barn, and the original water tower. Stone and tropical fruit aromas with spice and oak notes. On the palate apple and citrus flavors, with nutty oak tones. Lingering finish ending with mineral characteristics. — 9 years ago
Good table wine. Had at the Firefly Resturant in Elbow Cay Abacos. — 10 years ago
Traditionally styled Pinot Noir full of soul. Not the ripest, showiest nor most fragrant wine but one of the most balanced and restrained I have had since delving deeper into Willamette's hundreds of micro-producers. — 11 years ago

Muy rico!!! Con Cay — 11 years ago
Damn good Pinot. — 12 years ago

@Dan Petroski brought this gem. Props yo. Holmes knows how to kick an evening off. — 8 years ago
This is the cab savviest Cab Sav. Perfect for reading Sherlock Holmes on a rainy night. Smoke & spices, red berries & toasted vanilla chocolate oak. Will buy again. — 9 years ago
Consoling myself with this after having to miss an annual party that features port in a replica Holmes studio. This is good, quite nice. Nothing epic, but still good. — 10 years ago
Fresh fruit, pear, baking spices all complementing each other. A very balanced wine, "a perfect Chardonnay" -Julian Holmes — 11 years ago
A mouthful of vibrant acidity, peachy/stoney vibes and a finish that would make John Holmes cry. I guess that's what one would expect from 66 year old To Kalon vines. — 11 years ago
The Napa Valley Warlord. Don't mess. Holmes knows how to roll. — 12 years ago
