Lots of tart red fruit, oak, cedar, tar, and pencil lead. Medium plus body, high tannins, high acid, high alcohol, and medium plus finish. Some tertiary notes, so drink now. A good blend that has a nice hint of sweetness showing how pleasant and versatile Portuguese wine is.

Went nicely with handmade Gloucester Old Spot pork sausages and then a beef and mushroom ravioli the following evening.

Decanted for 2 hours before drinking with the sausages.

Ripe & fruit forward with dark cherry & blackberry and a whiff of Mediterranean herbs.
Rich yet very fresh & balanced on the palate with beautifully polished & juicy tannins and a perfect balance between the sweet fruit and sappy acidity.
This is a nice one - richer & heavier yet very drinkable at the same time.
