2005 vintage. Enjoyed April 12. Very solid. Some modern notes. Great extraction. Vanilla notes clearly ring. Softened tannins. Great age point for drinking. Beautiful with lamb. Liked this a lot. — 9 years ago

Perfect with marinated rack of lamb. — 9 years ago
Dark red color. Cherries and oak on the nose. Lush flavor of sweet berries, blueberries, plum, raspberries, violets, touch of white chocolate and sweet vanilla. Long finish, soft velvety tannin. Great with lamb. Check out this wine in Costco $36 — 9 years ago
Had this 2008 bottle with rack of lamb. Still pretty damn good. — 9 years ago
Had it hidden in the apartment for a long long time. Wasn't sure how it would be after 10 years in so so conditions but it was fantastic. Delicious! Had it with a lamb stew and everything was perfect. Have a bunch of newer vintages in the cellar and counting down the time to for that special occasion to start enjoying them. — 10 years ago
2001 vintage. Elegant wine with French truck stop cuisine (lamb sausage on baguette with spicy mayonnaise). You won't get a match (or even the full taste of the wine) from anything in France, California, or Italy. The Rioja Alta stands up to and shines with this kind of food. — 8 years ago
