Reserve Red Mountain Red Blend 2011

Bordeaux blend; 44% Cab Sauv, 33% Merlot with Syrah, Malbec, and Cab Franc. Dried red and black fruit, wild herbs, soft and well integrated tannins. Low alcohol for new world, but I like that. It's showing well but any more time and it will probably start to deteriorate. — 8 years ago

Les Gosses Syrah 2009

Very nice effort from Hedges. Clearly Washington fruit with a bit of chocolate woven in. Just the right touch of herbs on the nose. Avoids being too ripe, very nice with food. — 10 years ago

2013 was angular and pHs were low. Sarot from red Mountain is the Pinot Noir of the hot climate. They vary greatly depending on Vineyards. Much too young to drink but chilled down its fantastic — 10 years ago

Dark plum and cherry fruit with sweet tobacco spice and a good hand of fresh earth. A very good year that is now drinking near its peak still has good fruit with silky smooth tannins and drinking very nicely right now most excellent — 11 years ago

Red Mountain Cabernet Franc 2013

Exciting nose with strawberry and paprika. Toffee too after a while. Medium high tannins and high acidity. Didn't pair as well as the other reds with tonights food (pork belly with roasted potatoes and vegetables and a lingon apple sauce). The wine was very fruity and tart. — 7 years ago

Cs Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Admittedly, I am partial to Washington State reds. This Cabernet is an outstanding value for under $17. It reminds me of Hedges Estates Red Mountain Red Blend.

Very long legs. Plum and caramel colors with a full body in the glass.

Rounded rich of sweetness to match deep wood berries and evolved tannins on the palate. Very much in line with WA state reds of the last few years, but comes together more balanced than most, especially after 45 min in a decanter.

I will drink this again soon.
