Beautifully aged. Paired so perfectly with Chef Norman Van Aken’s Pork Havana at his Orlando Ritz Carlton location. Medium toast from the oak, vanilla, balanced, velvety mouth feel. Dried fruits, blackberry, cherry, tobacco, licorice. Soft around the edges. Decanted for two hours. Could cellar for a few more years. — 7 years ago

Delicious. Deep ruby purple red with heavy legs on the glass. Powerful nose of ripe plum and black currant with a hint of leather. Wonderful explosion of flavor in the mouth. The vinous equivalent of a Havana cigar. More prune and red fruit on the tongue with leather, cedar and tobacco prominent. A spectacular value. Gentle finish with balanced tannins and salty minerals.
