I bought this bottle of Vin Perdu (or ‘lost wine’) from the Costco in Humble a week before Hurricane Harvey. That Costco received four feet of water. The wine guy told me they threw out every single bottle of wine, even everything up in the steel. So happy I was able to save this lost wine from being lost. Blackberry preserves, chocolate, toast, menthol, and leather. Delicious. — 8 years ago

I became a fan of Quilceda Creek when visiting our son at College in the US back round 2005. I bought this bottle from Vinfolio in San Francisco. This wine is a dark Ruby red with a tawny rim developing. Initially notes of asparagus (SO2) which blew off after about 30 minutes in the decanter. Medium weight on the palate with red and black berries and a touch of chocolate. Very balanced at 16 years of age , some savouriness finishing with soft resolved velvety tannins. Medium plus intensity and low acid. I note Harvey Steimans Drinking window was 2010 to 2020. 14.9% ABV is hardly noticeable. One of the 1001 wines and a delight to drink this. — 5 years ago
This Columbia Valley Chard is fruit forward and restrained on the oak. It has a hint of creaminess, not much, and no butter. The taste is honeysuckle with muted lemon citrus. It really is a versatile food wine, but even on a chilly day, it works as a cocktail sipper. Consider this a Chardonnay for Chardonnay haters 😸 — 7 years ago
2013. Full bodied. Hint of current, and a smooth after. — 8 years ago
A delicious Cabernet for a chocolate dessert. — 2 years ago
Very nice. Heavier hitting but balanced. Tabacco and earth tones with dark red fruit that is not balanced. — 2 years ago
I enjoyed this with my Gurlz for our first post-vax gathering. Not sweet but refreshing! — 4 years ago
dark and deep and grabby, just perfect — 6 years ago
Inky color. Wine club members only. Upfront berries and plums and a hint of leather. Big bold tannins. Very dry and tannic all the way. Not for the timid. — 7 years ago
Imported gifts from @Kathryn Harvey ! 🔥🔥🔥 — 7 years ago
Great Nebbiolo always surprises me in its ability to be brooding and powerful yet delicate. Floral and tobacco on the nose combine with blue and red fruit with light tar and smoke notes through a lengthy finish. Great balance. From magnum @Kyle Harvey — 8 years ago
