Scanning the wine list, I settled on this Nebbiolo varietal from the Piedmont region. While the Nebbiolo is better known for the much higher-end barolos, this wine holds its own for about half the price. It's elegant and fruity with notes of tar and tobacco beneath the bright cherry and slightly citric overtones. We loved this wine so much, we decided to get another bottle. It could potentially use a few more years before it reaches peak drinkability but if you can't wait, you won't be disappointed. @Kyle Harvey — 9 years ago
