Congrats Philippe Gimel for this beautiful L'Argile 2010!
One of the best L'Argile we had!
Much Kirsch and dark berries in the nose, some licorice, chocolate, forest floor and floral aromas like lavender and as Jeb said dried flowers.
Harmonic mouthfeel and a fresh very long finish. — 9 years ago
2020 very good. Harmonic and elegant Chablis. — 9 years ago
Dark red clean color, black berries, smoke, spices, harmonic and good long aftertaste. Young, tannins a bit rude ;) — 9 years ago
A really pretty SB and a perfect harmonic convergence of grapes and cheese both grown on site. Grassy and crisp, with a nice pineapple twang on the mid palate that gives the wine depth and added complexity. I love the texture here - it's got weight and presence and just a bit of waxiness to help off set the steely tartness. Delicious. — 10 years ago
Intensely flavourful and harmonic at the same time. Surprising notes of butterscotch. — 10 years ago
This is just an outstanding wine! Exciting, exuberant and reflecting so much the unique soul carried by Herdade do Rocim! This 2011 is a pure national Hampton... Not being a fan of Touriga Nacional, I must admit this harmonic baco is on the rise! A must — 10 years ago
2013 Red / superbly harmonic as always — 11 years ago
Dark, half opaque ruby. Funky aromas come to the nose right away, in harmonic array between white truffles, mushrooms, a bit of cow manure, and red and dark cherry aromas. Wonderful presentation upon entrance in the palate, showing delicious cherry juice flavors that evolve onto darker fruits such as black currant and dates, but also a bit of vegetable V-8 juice, celery, and tomato juice as it evolves in your mouth towards a desirable lingering finish. What a pleasant surprise this wine is, made out of one of my favorite varietals, from Dan, Israel, for $10 ten US dollars?? This is really pretty good. The finish lingers with pretty savory flavors and V-8 juice. Even some coppery, bit of bloody mary flavors. Can't wait to try this with prime rib or beef bourgognon. 89+ pts. — 12 years ago
I can’t think of a Rhône white I’ve enjoyed more than this one. So unique. Nose has fresh mint leaves , lanolin, yellow tropical fruits, musky flowers, and stones. Richly extracted but with beautiful balance, the flavors linger. Mineral and fruit swapping dominance in a harmonic wave. It’s almost tannic, which suggests significant skin contact. — 8 years ago

Sweet jammy at first, strawberry, peppery black currant, Then spicy, earthy, salty. Wild and elegant and harmonic alltogether. Such a complex smoothness from this rough, energetic climate and sparse, rigid land. Mineralic. — 9 years ago
The pleasure of this wine is much greater than it's technological evaluation or rating. You simply can't decant a wine any length of time in an effort to duplicate the evolution that takes place in a bottle over nearly 20 years. There's just no faking that. The softness, elegance or complexity. The fruits load ripe and juicy and transition into dry. The fruits are older; blackberries, black cherries, stewed plum, raspberries and pouched strawberries & pomegranate. The leather is soft as suede, graphite reduction, dry stems, dark, rich earth, & dry stones. The acidity is perfect as is the harmonic balance of fruit & earth. The tannins are nicely resolved along with the structure. The 98 is somewhere just passed it's peak moment. The finish is smooth and elegant but with the steak, the score jumps to a 9.2 as the blackberries & black cherries really pop with the steak. This is a recent purchase at K&L for the ridiculous price of $25. I would rather drink this than any Cabernet old or new world from 10.11,12,13 or 14. Pessac really out shined Bordeaux as a whole in 98. — 9 years ago
Very accessible vintage 2014. Beautiful nose with red fruit, plums, licorice and herbs. Overall very harmonic. Very well integrated Alcohol. Smooth tannins in the long finish. Second day remains very accessible. And even more harmonious. Spice and Fruit keeping well balanced.
Certainly a great accompaniment to food but with this good accessibility and harmonic structure very pleasant to drink even solo, as I do normally.

Well structured with a distinctive garnet red color. Harmonic, round taste that reminds you of wild flowers, fruits, and marmalades. — 10 years ago
Beautiful deep ruby red. This wine has a distinctive delicate smell. The aromas of sweet wild violets. It tastes is harmonic, full, dry with hints of spice. Truly a regional work of art. — 10 years ago
For tonight's grain de raisin, I chose a nifty label in my girlfriends liquor cabinet while she was getting her hair did. Very light red blend with strong blackberry or boysenberry flavors and tobacco finish. Tannins are pungent though harmonic with the grape's personality. I may use this as deodorant in the morning. — 10 years ago
i'm most certainly not here to advise winemakers or bring their style up to speed.
but i can say imho overseas, especially many australian and californian winemakers produce much more elegant and harmonic liquids these days than let's say 10 years earlier, to leave supermarkt items out in the cold.
this specific wine is an example of barossa terroir, of syrah AND of ripe but cool fruit (predominantly cassis) - not jammy at all. full of spices but not too loud, herbs, fascinating mouthfeel.
well done! — 10 years ago
Beautiful old cherry color, quite burgundian with medium density. Same old red cherry aroma, neatly adorned with sandalwood and a bit of shoe polish. Enters decisively in the palate. This is a serious Pinot Noir, showing both new world and old world traits. The cherry flavor acidity is incredibly sensational and mouth watering. This wines explodes after the third quarter, giving rainbow skittles and red licorice flavors. Quite fruitbomby, but always sustained by its firm and long structure of delicious tannins. Finishes very long and tasteful. Quite harmonic. 94 pts. — 12 years ago
Harmonic, Italian, fresh, bright, lean, flavorful — 8 years ago

Color is light, clear, sort of like green tea. Nose of spice, quite powerful in nasal cavity, peaty flavor, fermented grains, and subtle apple&mango note. Taste is a dance of three main flavors, sweetness, peat, and spice. Very harmonic. You can feel she is young but the depth is nice compared with aged ones. Some fermented grains, and flowering note on the second wave. Aftertaste of peat, slight bittersweet peel, and flowering note, Oh, you can feel her strength too. This is a well made whiskey on par with top distillery from the west. — 8 years ago
2011 La Montagne blanc.
Beautiful golden colour. Very harmonic in nose and mouth. — 9 years ago
Depth and seduction! Powerful, forceful and pure, it really delivers. Damp earth, dark plum, blackberry, cedar, cigar box and a bright red raspberry provides a harmonic journey of sensory delight. Nothing herbal or vegetable on this '11, solid through and through.
Another Cellar Angels' offer for yes, I founded the company but am also a customer. What a find! — 9 years ago
Pretty much loving this! We bought it at La Maison D'Ogier (my husband's mother's maiden name). Plums and berries - balanced and harmonic. Wish we could bring some home🙏🏼 — 10 years ago
Dark purple with different shades of hazy purple on the rim. Legs give out its dense and powerful nature. Nose of ripe dark fruits, round smokiness, full body strength fragrance, vanilla and cameral, leathery, salty bacon, and ripe acidity. Taste of herby sweetness, dried dates and apricot, powerful acidity, black tea, peppery, spice notes, zesty. Flavors are obvious and also in harmony. Aftertaste of dried fruit sweetness, raisins, herb, oaky smokiness, tobacco leaf, bittersweet, medium long. Very tasty! Open another bottle one year later. Still amazed by her harmonic flavors and surprised by my own note about not mentioning her beautiful dried strawberries flavors. — 10 years ago
big fruit. big body. round and harmonic. — 10 years ago
Opened in the afternoon. Keeping it refrigerated in the bottle, it was great at night. Interesting Sangiovese nose with forrest floor and red berries. On day 2, it had already developed some alcohol burn and something steely on the tongue, not that harmonic anymore. — 11 years ago
fine bubbles, harmonic, well balanced, grapefrut, citrus, raspberry, morello, dried fruit, almonds and tasted bread. #brunopaillard — 11 years ago
Manuel Buergi
Round & harmonic. Sweet and noble tannin. plums, mild licorice, sweet spices. In a wonderful spot now already but with plenty of longevity. — 7 years ago
