A blend of 80% Tempranillo with 15% Garnacha, rest Graciano and Mazuelo, aged 5 years in American oak, deep Ruby with aromas of ripe jammy fruits, spice and tobacco notes, resulting from a warm dry growing season. On the palate flavors of ripe plum, blueberry and ripe cherry with spice, tobacco and cedar notes. Fine big rustic tannins, long finish, savory ending with tobacco and leather notes. Bought this bottle in Spain 2016. I think Madrid! Didn’t drink it until December 2019. Very smooth!! — 4 years ago
Shockingly good. Opposite of our normal style. That’s how you do a fruit forward wine. Beautifully balanced. — 5 years ago
Three days after opening, still firm and balanced. — 4 months ago
Remarkably good. A combination of polished leather, blackberry and dark plums on both nose and palate. Clearly tempranillo but unlike any rioja I have had before — 5 months ago
Lovely, bright and fruity at the price. — 2 years ago
Very rich dark fruit oriented, bold like a Cali cab. Got some graciano in it. — 3 years ago
Better with some time open. — 4 years ago
Another lovely wine! Better than last night but only marginally, so same score. These Spanish and Portuguese wines have the best textures. Definitely drink a little bit on the warmer side. This wine has more fruit and rust elements. Very refined and paired nicely with the suckling pig. — 5 years ago
