Dark crimson red with pretty brilliancy, very dark blood-like. The elegance in this wine continues with its nose. Impressive bouquet of exotic aromas. Fine leather with plum scented shoe polish; all in appealing taste and harmony. Great length provides a long ride, ride from its sensational entrance, offering flavors of sour cherries. The long tannins offer a very polished experience; quite mature. Its acidity is also persistant, educated but mouth-watering, with clear plum flavor. Lots of plums slowly transform into flavors of milk chocolate, spices, and fine tobacco, providing incredible complexity and a long and delicious finish. Typical apulian primitivo wine but it's been aged in bottle after time spent in barrels. Strong but with a round taste. At the beginning it was 15° but now at least 16-17°. The wine cellar exists no more and only a few bottles remain. — 8 years ago
