This Pa brewery is rocking my world. Close my eyes and taste this, and I drift back to my time when I lived in Waterloo, Brussels. Label says 9.5% abv, but it’s tucked in nicely. Woody notes on the palate, with cardamom, cloves and licorice. Heart-warming as it slips down the hatch. Well done! — 7 years ago

Another 4th Friday for the books, and one of the best of the year!
Prunes and cranberry; acidity and tannin have fallen off; tertiary flavors carry it...old cedar; muddled strawberry tart and old red licorice. Its best days are behind it, but it’s still got life. — 8 years ago
What better way to celebrate my 30th birthday than with a bottle of birth year wine, at the monthly 4th Friday event and with other incredible wines around...AND my 1,000 bottle of wine!
What an absolute incredible bottle for 30-yr old Napa Cab. Randy Dunn sure knows how to make them, even in tough vintages. I got zero green pepper out of this. Dark fruit middle that is surrounded by red fruit (rhubarb, black cherry) and an incredible tannic structure that only Howell Mtn Wines can provide. Best ‘88 Napa I’ve had. — 8 years ago
Rob Cox Friday special (5/5/2017), fantastic — 9 years ago
A great Colorado red blend. Dark red color. Nose of boxwood and cherries, somewhat light. Medium bodied. Slightly jammy, taste of berries and slight bit of spice. Finish diminishes quickly. — 6 years ago
It’s Friday, gotta kick it off with Champagne. This Friday a little N/V Ruinart Rosé.
The fruits are; ripe, ruby and slightly candied. Deeply extracted; strawberries, black cherries, some black raspberries, cherries, ripe, juicy, summertime watermelon, touch of pomegranate, blood orange, understated, fine, powdery chalkiness, powdery seashells, sea spray, grey volcanic minerals, soft white spice, hard baguette crust with red & pink roses. The gently crisp acidity is dead on. The long, rich, ruby, well balanced, polished finish is delicious and nicely persistent.
Photos of, Dom Thierry Ruinart, our recently added Chrysanthemums, fresh fall table flowers and candle pumpkin. It’s fall! ‘‘Tis the season”...🍂🍁🎃🕷👻👹😱 🍾🥂 — 7 years ago
‘Reserva’. Nice balanced red blend. Has a vibrant, robust nose. Flavors are bitter, sweet, herbal, forestal, and clean. Hits with a bit of licorice and plenty of ‘complex’ red wine action. I’m a sucker for this tree too. It’s just so cool... — 7 years ago
Best Rosé I’ve had, but I’m not a huge rosé fan hence the rating. But it’s good! — 7 years ago
Now this is some good monkey! LoL. A really nice sour beer to enjoy either with friends and a grill or by yourself watching Netflix in your underwear — 8 years ago
Dry. Not a lot of depth. But good drinking. Slight bitterness. — 8 years ago
Since this is the last Friday of the year, my Cabernet fix is going to be a little different this time.
Dark ruby in color with a short brick /orange rim.
Earthy nose of blueberries, blackberries, black currants, earth, wood, light vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso, forest floor, leather, pencil lead, light barnyard, licorice, light vanilla, bell pepper and vegetables.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry and earthy on the palate with blueberries, cherries, oak, licorice, cloves, earth, wet leaves, vegetables, herbs, beef jerky, spices, dark coffee, pencil lead, green pepper, black tea and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
What a wonderful Cabernet based red from Saint Estephe. Nicely balanced and very complex with a great mouthfeel. Earthy and still young, but drinking very nicely now.
Not a great vintage, but so enjoyable by itself or with food. The nose is so complex, that it's so nice just to sniff on.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show some tannins.
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
13% alcohol by volume. — 8 years ago
Full body and not too sweet or tart. Notes of “dark grape skin”. Very nice. — 6 years ago
Late to post this from Friday night dinner at Gemma (Dallas spot with nice wine list). Surprised to find this one on the list and just had to order. Fortunately they decanted for us, but it was still a little cooler temp than my liking. Overall this is always a pleaser. Still can’t believe this is a second wine for PT. Silky smooth tannins. Approachable now, but will become even more elegant with time in the bottle. Can’t beat this QPR. Napa cab that holds true to Bordeaux style. (Drank 1/3/20) (not my photo) — 6 years ago
The start of watching NFL Football 🏈 in the backyard for the dog days of summer. Reason enough to break out the BSR. Still my favorite N/V Rosé Champagne. Really refreshing on a hot day for our neck of the woods, 83 degrees and 90 plus in the sun.
Happy Friday & weekend all! Cheers 🍾🥂! — 7 years ago

Impromptu meet up at Classic! Having a relaxing Friday afternoon with good friends and good wine makes for a perfect start to a weekend!
Poured blind. My guess was early to mid 2000s Napa Cab. The nose was slow to evolve at first with crushed blackberries, pencil shavings and cassis. Added some dark cocoa with time. Palate added some red fruit tart that melded really nice with black fruit. Cherry tobacco. Really nice finish and very smooth. My first Bond wine. — 8 years ago

2009. Only one plot at Silver Oak affected. Today, a family member commented that CA wines may be all gone. I responded I'd rather never drink another glass but have all those innocent people and homes back. In the meantime, we continue to drink our Napa faves in our cellar- it's Friday, so this one's a magnum. #NapaFire — 9 years ago

Certainly a little different but agreed, easy drinker and best on a hot summer's day. Crisp, dry and a nose of peach but not in a way that's disenchanting. A little sharp on the front but finishes crystal clear. Could easily knock out 6 bottles between 3-4 people on a summer Friday. — 9 years ago
