Delightful lively flavors at a full gallop, like phat plums & wild strawberries, racy, bright, so very juicy & happy. — 9 years ago
Excellent depth. Went beautifully with a delicate smoked salmon and then a fabulous veal osso bucco — 9 years ago
One of our favourites. Lightly oaked — 9 years ago
2009 vintage seems to shift between intense berry/cassis and mineral plumb nose, vanilla and violets play a pleasant medley. Smooth fruit and rounded tannins give a wonderful tactile sensation in the mouth with a lingering aftertaste, warm with alcohol but still flavored with fruit and a slight astringent tannin to say I can go longer. Lovely wine. — 10 years ago

Plenty of acid - could use more age — 11 years ago
Wine maker Robert Foley. Luscious, young and powerful without twisting up on the palate. Rich, luscious and chewy, one can feel the tannins have had enough time in bottle to begin melting onto the complex array of flavored in the heart of the wine. Ribeyes and potatoes, all day, and with time to decant the '09 Jamesport Petit Verdot goes from a cantor to a rugged and thoroughly enjoyable gallop. A nose-coating helping of spice box envelopes the ole factory, and trademark characteristics of Petit Verdot become more clear with each sip. It's subtle but with oodles of staying power- and such is the finish. Bottom line: worth more than it costs- and a noble representative of a rising Atlantic Coast. — 12 years ago
Have I mentioned that this guy is a hell of a winemaker? @Fraser McKinley — 8 years ago
2013 vintage. One of the new wave of Artisan winemakers like our Delectable mate Fraser from Sami-Odi. Fresh juicy and funky. Just enough whole bunch acidity without over doing it. Silky but not delivering enough of the ripe fruit Grenache characters that one gets from old school old vine Grenache in The Vale. — 9 years ago
This Wild Blueberry Wine Is Made by Fort Langley Winery. This Merlot is made from berries grown right here in the fraser valley. It is a sweet wine that would pair well with most dishes. I would recommend for anybody who has a sweet tooth. — 9 years ago
This is the 2007 vintage. One of the better 2nd tier Marg River Cabernets for around less than half price of the big guns at approx $40. Not quite as good as the standard Vasse Felix or the Woodlands Margaret for the same price. Good fruit and herbal notes from a good vintage. 17.5+ — 10 years ago
A masterful Grenache from my dear friend Peter Fraser. — 11 years ago

My 200th wine!!
I probably spent a bit too long thinking about which wine to choose, having noticed the night prior that I was at 199. But then this bottle struck me and that was that! About a year ago, I had my dad "import" this from Canada because it seems Wakefield is hard to get in the US. It was one of the first wines I ever remember buying and then saying - i am going to make a conscious effort to buy more. So I felt this would be a good anniversary wine to see how far I've come, as there have been at least 200 cuvées since I started on here
I'm glad to say that I still think this is a very good wine. The nose opens with sweet cedar and cherry. It's fairly dark purple but still opaque. On the palate there are the typical notes of dark blue fruits. It has fairly soft tannins and a moderate finish. The #qpr is high!
With all that said - I'd like to thank all the folks that I follow on Delectable. I've learned a lot from each of you and I appreciate reading your thoughts and seeing what you're drinking. @David A Lentine @Ron R @Jody Scharf @Bill Bender @"Odedi" @Mike Rowe @Rochelle @Martin G Rivard @Bob McDonald @Fraser McKinley @Paul T @Shay Aldriedge @Eric Shanks @Matthew Beninati and everyone else who I may have forgotten!! Cheers!! — 9 years ago
