An oily orange wine with a cute etiquette. Friends and I chose slices of liver and well cooked onions as our secondo which was a pretty good decision :) — 8 years ago

A very reliable house in Limoux for nice sparklers. The Brut shows lots of Granny Smith apple, soft bubbles, and clean finish. Hard to beat for 6 euros! — 10 years ago
Steely, clean, tropical, pineapple with some pear. Nimble, live, pebbly. Little sandy. Love the acid.
Had the great opportunity to taste these wines with Françoise Feuillat-Juillot. An amazing woman, and winemaker. — 11 years ago

Wow. A wonderful nose of blackberry bramble, hence, my favorite Pinot nose.
Wild, ripe strawberry, green pepper, a touch of coriander, some starch, and a hint of lemon zest at the end. This has one of the oddest corks I have ever pulled, with a plastic capsule on one end, and a target, like one see on the bottom of a sale tasting cup, on the other end.. — 6 years ago
Very good sparkling wine (same traditional champagne method) considering it's price. I bought it for 9€ in Paris. Quality is surprising. A very good œnologie recommended. Prefer to to any cheaper champagne brut (lesson thesugary aspect) that are around 15-20€ — 8 years ago
Tart, crisp and pure my mineralogy. Thanks, Todd — 8 years ago
Sweet & light alternative to the sharp champagne bite. Very pleasant. — 10 years ago
Stellar! Maybe just another year or two will be required for the oak to resolve. — 10 years ago
Broad, more fruit, more leesy, more depth then the Pernand V. Fat and chewy. This big sister. — 10 years ago
Wow -- delicious, fresh-fruited burgundy with fine, subtle tannins, v lively acidity. Like biting into a fresh fruit. But better. — 11 years ago

The effervescence of this wine greets you like a much needed sunny afternoon. Fresh strawberries tickle the tongue and a light, citrus rounds out the flavor palette. This delightfully approachable wine can be saved for a celebration or casually sipped with friends. — 6 years ago
The 2016 Vine Hill Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is a drop dead stunning wine from the Phillips and their talented team of Mike Wolf and Françoise Peschon. This majestic Cabernet bursts opens to seductive aromas of dark currants, blueberries, spices, graphite, iron, violets and a touch of sage all emerging from the glass. On the palate this is equally as impressive, as it boasts a gorgeous full body that shows incredible depth, with a resonating core or ripe dark fruits that expands beautifully through the long polished finish. This is one of the most compelling wines from this fabulous vintage, and readers should not hesitate to get their hands on this years exceptional release from VHR. — 6 years ago

2014 is drinking delicious — 8 years ago
On the nose, perfumed, candied fruits of strawberries, watermelon, cherries & Rainer cherries. Ballpark chewing gum, soft, powdery chalkiness and pink rose petals. The mouthfeel is round, ripe and fresh. Fruits are; ripe strawberries, watermelon, cherries & Rainer cherries. Ballpark chewing gum, roses petals and really like the soft, delicate, powdery chalkiness and minerality. Acidity is round, soft and mouthwatering. The long finish is round, fresh and delicious. The 2016 yield was about 1/2 of normal. Photos of; the Marasanny vineyard being harvested, outside shot of the Domaine & their stainless tanks in the the cellar as well as Cyril. Producer history and notes...Domaine Charles Audoin lies in the village of Marsannay-la-Côte. Descended from a long line of wine growers passing down from father to son, Charles Audoin took over the family property in 1972 with his wife Marie-Françoise, an oenologist by training. Located within the commune of Marsannay-la-Côte. Domaine Charles Audoin began with only three hectares but the estate has grown to nearly 35 acres with a diversity of soils. After taking over his father’s five acres of vineyards, Charles Audoin and wife Marie-Françoise developed the estate through the restoration and the purchase of new lots. Their vines are over 45 years of age on average and have a south-eastern orientation. Cyril prefers lower yields and has less intensive extraction for softer and more elegant wines. Happy Bastille everyone!
