2021/11. This bottle started off a bit more herbal and austere, perhaps suggesting that it might be closing - but with a bit of air over a few hours, the savory, sweet and sour red fruit blossomed again, if anything suggesting it’s on the brink of its second phase — 4 years ago

Mount Richmond Vineyard sits on Willakenzie soils in the heart of the Yamhill Carlton AVA. Ruby with aromas of red and black fruits and spice. On the palate flavors of sour cherry and raspberry flavors with earthy tones. Full-bodied, fine tannins, balanced, medium finish ending with big earthy spice notes. — 3 years ago
I look for a bacon/autumn leaves flavor in North American Pinot Noir, and this one delivers that in spades. That note is what is prominent on the nose and also comes through on the palette. There is some raspberry as well, but this is mostly a bacon/autumn leaves bomb. — 6 years ago
Full bodied, earthy pinot. Tart and crisp with and round and buttery finish. Fantastic. — 8 years ago
2022/2. This was the first bottle of this that I’ve had that seemed like it might be closing - if only a bit. — 4 years ago

Elk Cove’s sparkling isn’t produced every year, but when it is it’s a stunning sparkler! This vintage doesn’t disappoint. Lovely mousse, strawberries on the nose and delicate toast and berries with lychee in the palate. It is simply delicious. Glad I have another! — 7 years ago
Amazing aroma. Berry jam and some nice wet soil. Something a bit herbaceous too. Taste is good too. Smoky and fruity. A rich, ripe full CA Pinot. Bitter licorice. Hints of dark chocolate as well. Holds its own even after being open for a week. A great buy for $10 at grocery outlet. — 8 years ago
