Some of you may remember the post that I did back in March over a truly incredible bottle of 2012 Nine Suns. I took a Picture of the cork that said "we love you already". My 1st granddaughter!! The angel is just a few days old. She's already leaning for a sip of Verite!!! Smart Girl!!! I actually sent a text to my friend Howard right after I opened it and told him "I don't get it". I gave it four hours and boy was I wrong. Truly seamless, truly integrated, true perfection. It's young and needed a little time. My friend Kirk tells me all the time "the sign to a great bottle is that nothing stands out". That's because everything is seamlessly integrated." He's 100% correct. This fires on all cylinders but does it eloquently with finesse and grace. The only thing you have to focus on is not what is evident and in your face but what can be relished through countless layers of taste profiles. All I can say to this is Bravo!! 1st and foremost to my daughter and her little Angel Colette. 😇. — 9 years ago
Burgundy-like bubblegum notes on the nose. Light and zippy, reminding first and foremost of slightly carbonated cranberry juice, but with the acidic complexity of a great lambic, tinged with hay, ginger, forest floor, light warm spice and wild raspberries. Extraordinarily floral, offering up a strong bouquet of cut tulips, violets, and lilies. Delicious and eye-openingly singular. — 10 years ago
I love the Long Shadow wines first and foremost. But this Syrah from Duval rocks and may out impress the other wines in the group. Big and super luscious. Could definitely stand more time in the cellar. Consumed over 36 hours. — 10 years ago
Amazing staff, first and foremost. Good food. Some 5 star dishes, some 3.5, — 11 years ago
Wow. Simply outstanding.
There are a variety of things that make me believe in the comment above. Foremost are the tannins. Which, to some, may seem like an odd place to start. But, for me, I have been on a run of poorly integrated, overbearing tannins that make me think the wine will be drinkable when I'm nearing an age closer to death. This cuvée has a lovely fine grained tannin that allows the wine to sing. It is beautifully complementary and a testament that excellent wine can be made and enjoyed early in its life.
The oak treatment is a close second. Aged in 50% new oak, this balances and rounds everything out wonderfully.
Third, #QPR. amazing value at $65.
A winner! — 8 years ago
Great price first and foremost! Finally starting to feel like myself again. Strong flavors of pineapple and lemon, with subtle honey on the finish. Was very nice, but a little too aciditic and harsh on the palate for me. — 9 years ago
Quite possibly Northeast Ohio's most overlooked beer! Labrador Lager first and foremost is crisp, refreshing and balanced. It's so drinkable yet has enough body and malt character to remind you that yea...... you're having a beer. Every sip of this Dortmunder-Style Lager is delicious and is my new go to beer! Support local business and an Akron gem and GO TRY THIS BEER!!! — 9 years ago
The Herman J. Wiemer vineyard is the oldest site the winery owns. Poor, gravelly soil offers good drainage and serves to limit vine vigor. As one might expect the 2012 HJW Riesling is the most austere, and notably the most acid-driven wine in the lineup. It's nervy, with a kind of twitchy energy, like a doe emerging from a lean winter. Fruit is not the foremost expression; rather there is poise, tension and intensity, along with lime pith, lovely textural minerality punctuated by saline. Sample — 10 years ago
This wine features a light golden straw tint with a nose of apples, pineapples and peaches. Big, pure fruit is what is showing here. The palate has a gorgeous mouthfeel, silky and creamy without the wood. The acidity is subdued, but still enough to handle pairing with a salad or seafood. Peach and apricot are foremost with a light touch of earth, but the fruit is the show. — 10 years ago
Wow. This clean-river smelling wine has a real loamy farmland pungency marked with a very strong spearmint note. The terroir is foremost, the wine structured. A great wine at a ridiculous price. Got this for 9$. Really a steal. The fruit is black currant but integrated. Haut Medoc steal. — 11 years ago
Wow. It's like a sea spray of white truffle and citrus. Nose has you swooning, palate is iodine and butter and citrus and wet stones. Blew us away and the whole tasting menu is composed with a wine of this profile foremost in mind. — 9 years ago
Absolutely delicious 2015 Wines. Jauma pushing things forward with thoughtful, careful and effective (lack of) winemaking. Sulphur dioxide reduced and eliminated in some wines. Retaining stability is the hard part, with the reward being a difficult-to-describe feeling of life in the wines. First and foremost, is, as always, pristine purity of fruit. — 10 years ago
Elegantly built-up aromas and flavors, centered around peaches, gooseberries and orange blossom notes, framed by hints of oak, but first and foremost this is a modern and positively naked expression where tart fruit and minerality are driving forces. Mid-term cellaring is recommended. — 10 years ago
Bought at vas foremost California--$10--great value — 10 years ago
Still love the French. $12 foremost? Or binnys. Drink to much French red wine to remember my name. Really like it. — 13 years ago

Cherry pie nose. Bright acidity foremost with spice, some tobacco, and decent tannins. — 8 years ago
