This Bass was brewed in New Hampshire, not Burton on Trent! I have to say, they got this right. Subtle, nutty maltiness and fine refreshing hops at a "go ahead and have another" 5.1% alcohol. @Doug Burress- this is worth a re-visit. — 8 years ago

A smooth fine Pinot at a good price - $16 at Costco. Wine steward there says it's best of its kind at that price and better than most costing up to $25. — 9 years ago
Smooth red wine. Not sweet but delicious! — 10 years ago
Delicious and balanced cab. Slightly berry but mostly just grapes doing what they do best, giving me a delicate pillow of a classy ass buzz. Pairs well with sailors and other fine folk. — 11 years ago
So much depth! Very reminiscent of Cote-Rotie. Co-ferment. Meaty, white flower, white pepper, fine tannins. M body, M+finish, M acid. Delicious. — 12 years ago
Opened up nicely on day 1 this time, great representation of the varietal — 8 years ago
Fun white to start off our blind tasting of Heitz Cellars with some ringers.
Bright greenish yellow. Layered nose that took a little time to open up with some citrus notes, green apples, honeycomb, hay, a touch floral and toasty. High acidity (7/10) and balanced with a light to medium body. Crisp and refreshing palate with notes of green apples, lemon, and minerality. Dry and long finish. Drink till 2022. (90+)
This is the inaugural vintage from a boutique winery, Fine Disregard, out of Napa Valley. They produce this Sémillon from the Oak Knoll District (5 barrels) in Napa Valley and a Syrah (one barrel) from the one last row of vines (150 vines) in the Stag's Leap District. Wines are made by Mike Schieffer who is the Assistant Winemaker at Turley Wine Cellars. Fun wines to check out, inaugural release was $98.00 for two Sémillons and one Syrah. — 8 years ago
Damn fine, needs time — 10 years ago
Delicious. Super concentrated dark fruit even after 13 years. This wine will see age 20 in fine form. Great co n plexity on the fi b is with menthol notes and cedar. Yum. Wish I had more. — 10 years ago
Domaine de Villaine is owned by none other than Aubert de Villaine, co-owner of that most illustrious estate, Domaine de la Romanee-Conti. The little house Villaine is located in Bouzeron, and offers fine quality for money for those looking for a good value. The 2011 is light on fruit, a notoriously difficult vintage, but it has some charm nevertheless with tart cherry notes, cranberry and rose hips on the palate. The acidity is quite high, and the wine begs for food. A nice cheese plate? Yes. — 10 years ago
A very nice and pleasant brew, nice hops and spice, CO is on the map for sure, with many fine brews — 12 years ago
I could smell this one for days - spice box, toasted oak, blueberry, wet slate/minerals, and huckleberries. Very unique and incredibly silky smooth for a 2012. Purple cork always excites me especially from Howell. Thanks for the recommendation @Carl Fischer @Shay Aldriedge . Had a curve ball thrown at me - only 2011s on the menu. Almost went with the 09 Cade but asked if other bottles and vintages in stock - scored a 2012! Superb!! But from your night @Carl Fischer 2011 would have been just fine! Enjoyed after Straight No Chaser 🎅🏻🎄🎁 and vaguely remember @Daryl Calhoun mentioning his acappella days - ha! #chriscarpenterisgod — 9 years ago

Old vines taste so fine — 11 years ago
Vegetal notes w wild strawberry and violet undertones on the nose. Balanced acidity w ripe red fruit on the palate. Fine, long aftertaste. Balance and freshness describes this wine.

A nose of Granny Smith Apple with a light brioche note. Medium fine bubbles that are very persistent and a light palate of apples, pears and a little strawberry with some minerality. Well made, but not something that delivers on the palate. — 12 years ago

Pitch black coco and blueberry. Fine structure of tannins. This has 10 more in the tank. Chad thumbs up! — 8 years ago
