Expressive nose with black peppercorns, cloves, crushed rock, a hint of iron & blood, underneath all that - pure black fruit. Fresh, spicy, enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate with ripe, grippy tannins, juicy black fruit acidity and nice purity to the fruit. This has grip, good tension, quite some power and loads of character. Reminiscent of Northern Rhône.

Great flavors and concentration but lacking a little vibrancy. Lots of granite and ripe black cherry on the nose, along with wisps of flinty smoke. Deep cherry fruit on the palate, along with deep minerality. A bit of tannin, too, but the knitting acids are kind of low, resulting in a looser feel than I’d prefer. Deep Ruby with purple hue edge. Violets and vanilla immediate on nose, damson, plum, some baking spice, floral. Soft and chewy on palate fresh, lively cassis and blackcurrant, black and red plum with smooth tannin. Fruit concentrated and wine well balanced. — 5 years ago

Nice sesame reduction on the nose with some roast apple and a hint of salty caramel.
On the palate this has nice tension, a salty mineral core covered in layers of apple, green apricot and caramel.
