A very nice wine after 12 years in the bottle. Still lots of fruit, not over extracted, dark cherry, cassis, leather, tobacco. Agreed, it is more similar to a French style wine. — 6 years ago
Juicy, fruit forward, with balanced acidity. Fine dining friendly!! — 7 years ago
Bright, nice tannns and finish, earthy, luscious mouthfeel. Curious how it might develop. — 7 years ago
The cabernet cousin to one of my favorites. First time I have seen this. In the house style of big extracted fruit, supple tannins, and high but well hidden ABV. Would seek out again but if not there is always Blue Eyed Boy. — 8 years ago
Nice, dry. Unoriginal but pleasant enough. Wouldn’t complain if I was served it, but wouldn’t seek it out. Purchased via Naked. — 5 years ago
I picked up this Magnum of Palmer for £200 recently 😱 from a shop closing down RRP £430+ so I was a happy boy 😊 Not as rich in depth as top vintages but a beautiful elegant Margaux nevertheless 😉

🏵 93 points vs the pros who say 89 - really? Did they try the same wine 🤣
🧀 Paired with Iberian cheeses 👍
🍇 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot & 12% Petit verdot
🍷 Deep opaque ruby
👃 Smokey oak through blackcurrant & dark plum w/ minerals, cracked pencil, gravel, tar, soggy earth, herbs, mocha & blackberry liquorice - yumtastic 😍
👄 Med body of smooth earthy mineral infused blackcurrant & blackberry w/ slight butter mocha & red liquorice
🎯 Med+ touch dry minerality bathed in dark berry fruits w/ a stoney mocha finale

Always yummy. Raisins, pepper and black cherry. — 8 years ago
Mulled, Fall spices on the nose. The color of used motor oil. Fresh cinnamon cake, cola, and bevy of spices fire this bad boy up. #craftbeer — 8 years ago

Needed some time to open up, but once it did, this old boy still had some life in it. — 9 years ago
An easy everyday Bordeaux as it’s affordable. Very fruit forward with spice but finish is lacking. — 6 years ago
Almost a 91. But a bit short. Peaches and dried nuts. A little on the viscous side and to be honest with you I really didn't know what to expect. Leaner towards the finish. If I saw this on a discount for $40, I'd buy a couple of bottles. Rearding longevity, I just don't think this one is getting any better in the bottle, so might as well drink it now. — 7 years ago
Wonderful 100% Washington State Grenache. Cherry, Earth, Black Pepper, Herbal aromas. Cherry, red currant and Vanilla flavors. Light color and body. Great summer red. So Fruit forward, it almost seems that it has a bit of sweetness. (But really bone dry) Hint of chocolate on the finish. Serve it a bit chilled! — 9 years ago
