Another above-the-fold headline scoop from "Superman's Pal"! This is a dense, jammy blend with slimy smooth body. The rich dark cherry, red raspberry, and black currant flavors balance nicely. It works well as an after-dinner digestive wine. — 9 years ago
Very good. Delicious fruity finish — 10 years ago
Wonderful wine. Comparable to Von Strasser Cab. Give it time to open up and get rid of the sharp, peppery edges & it will be smooth & round, with a dry finish. — 10 years ago
Pretty much anything out of Four Winds is fantastic and this certainly lives up to the standard! — 11 years ago
Great. Ended up liking the 2010 and 2011 petite Syrah just a little better on this trip. 2011 petite Syrah was my favorite today. All delicious. — 11 years ago
Simple but delicious. Screams for seafood with mayo involved, like a lobster roll. — 12 years ago
Fair trade and wonderful — 13 years ago
Pretty good and interesting. Tried at painter's night at the girls 03.09.12 — 14 years ago
Very good. Very reasonably priced. Nice flavor but not overwhelming at all. Perfect for sipping at home or an easy gift to a host — 9 years ago
First time. Very nice. Strawberry. — 9 years ago
Silky, spicy, texturally perfect. Tyson makes some of the best wine in Oregon, including a Pinot and Chardonnay from this site. Four winds is a horse farm, 8 miles northwest of McMinnville, about 6 acres of fruit (?), marine-sedimentary, dense on the palate, acid, fresh. Pretty much perfect. This wine is why you drink Pinot with pork and salmon. Going to be really good in 2020-2021, maybe longer — 10 years ago
A delicious Syrah. Matured from the wine I drank at the winery. Opened nicely and drank smoothly. — 11 years ago
Deep ruby glass with translucent violet rim. Medium strong nose predominated by earth followed by cherry, plum, vanilla, strawberry and hints of tobacco and cedar. On the palate, mild acid of cherries, blackberries and blueberries. Finishes medium long with earth and slightly bitter cherries associated with small soft tannins. Balance tilts toward the nose with a fair amount of structure. Better as a sipper due to unique flavor profile and fair value at $20.99. — 11 years ago
The Artemis follows the 91 Phelps Merlot. Hardly fair! It's still big. Huge black and blue fruits, star anise, vanilla barrel toast, spice, caramel and earthy mineral finish. — 11 years ago
The 2012 is a fair bit riper than 2011, but shows off great structure. Ripe dark berry fruit, menthol, clove, tobacco leaf on the nose. High tannin, with acidity on the high part of medium, very long finish. Will want to revisit in 10 years. — 12 years ago
Happy Thanksgiving 2017! 4 Winds will be the 1st one. Super approachable 2013! Solid & high quality experience from Thomas. — 9 years ago
Good zin! Yummy! — 9 years ago
Not fair because I used Coravin and had one glass. Off balanced a bit but opened up nicely. Will pop cork and try again. — 10 years ago
2013 32 winds crisp Sauvignon — 11 years ago
Nice oak and nice acidity. Pair with some rich nigiri. — 11 years ago
This LMHB is good but not great, comparing with the '82 is not fair. But great drinking pleasure — 13 years ago
One of the best we tasted at Merry Edwards. Priced fair, it drinks well now but will be perfect in 3-4 years. — 14 years ago

An enjoyable dinner at the Tapas Bar at La Sirena was further enhanced by this delicious wine. Burlotto is certainly one of the hot Barolo producers right now. This Barbera is equally dripping with quality. Violets and layers of red and dark fruits make for a wine that is both sophisticated and accessible. Superb value too. I'll probably pick up a few bottles especially as it has the structure to last a fair while, while also delicious right now. — 9 years ago
