Amazing how well it’s held up. Recommend a decant it was waaaaaaay better after open for 90 minutes. Oak shows prominently at first especially on the nose but integrates with air to reveal pretty apricot flavors and even some floral notes. Just awesome. — 5 years ago

2011 vintage, which I tasted a year ago. Some fruit has faded. What remains is still bright and fresh. Underripe cherry/strawberry, Asian spice, loamy/earthy undertone. On the palette is faded fruit and a strong acid backbone. — 4 years ago

Drink ‘em if you got ‘me. After an hour, this one’s not yet flirting with the edge. The nose is sniffable without needing a sip. Fun, indeed to see these can go baby go. A favorite bottle to commemorate some new ink. Always love LF, as this is a chard that definitely grows and progresses as it opens up and warms up in the glass. Beautiful notes of iris, candied pineapple, melon, toasted walnuts, and saline minerality on the nose. Gorgeous texture and purity of fruit.. bruised apple, Meyer lemon, papaya, and chalky minerals. Bright zingy acidity on the backend, but not as lean as something like Ceritas or Failla - a bit more baby fat and textural complexity on this bottle that keeps you coming back for more. A perfect hybrid of styles by Jeff Nelson and co. Paired with a creamy bow tie pasta with dried tomatoes and a spring salad. — 8 years ago
