La quinta esencia de la Rioja moderna. Potente, afrutado, largo, equilibrado.
Picture yourself in rural France stopping for lunch at a small family owned bistro on a hot and dusty rural road. You park your rental Peugeot go in and order a Sauvignon Blanc to pair with your light fish or veal lunch. This is the type of wine you could enjoy. A wine that comes from a small vineyard under the radar of most, inexpensive and one that will surely refresh. Straw colored, green apple aroma, a light smack of citrus lime on the tip of your tongue and the roof of your mouth followed by a smooth almost peach fuzz and light fruit finish. 12.5 Alc/vol — 7 years ago
Love it! Fragrant, spicy notes over a velvety chocolate. Fresh. Blueberry notes. — 8 years ago
Located in rural Carlton, Oregon, Ken Wright Cellars showcases the inherent quality of selected vineyard sites. The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a blend of Ken Wright Cellars' traditional vineyards. Though not at the same level of complexity as the vineyard designates, this blend is extremely enjoyable. Ruby with red berry fruit and spice. On the palate thus fruit forward blend, from 9 blocks of Ken's best vineyards, is lush and full of Pinot fruit, raspberry and cherry and complex spice. Mild soft tannins, well balanced with a medium finish. It is a great value. — 9 years ago
20-30 year old vines planted to a rural, ancient vineyard. Original winery may date back almost 3,000 years. Intense orchard fruits interlaced with plump acids. — 6 years ago
Dark and dense, but with a fresh line and earthy/bloody component nestled in the dark fruit and balanced oak. The flavor is of course driven by its lip smacking tannins, yet with a good fruit coverage which made them more approachable than expected. Modern winemaking in this rural outpost is the recipe for success. Nice performance — 7 years ago
Enjoyed at Auberges des Seigneurs in Vence, rural Provence. A perfect accompaniment to fire roasted chicken and Provençal vegetables. Rose petals on the nose, flavours on the palate encompass apple cider, crème brûlée, lemon citrus, and sweet grapefruit. Beautiful balance of acid and sweetness. Long satisfying tart finish. C'est superb! — 8 years ago

By the glass. Barb said aromas of Fairy Floss. (Aussies who have been to rural Agricultural Shows will be familiar with Fairy Floss - a sugary whipped confection). Also a note of Lemon and petrol, but oh so young - yet to display its potential. One of the least sweet Ausleses I have ever had. Great refreshment and lively acid. — 6 years ago
Not much on the nose. But very big and alcoholic. Basically a Rhone. Recommend. — 7 years ago
Recomendable abrir antes, decantar y servir con 10 Grados — 8 years ago
Opulent, versatile. Very rich in flavour. Citrus as well as rural tones. Sweet finish. Always to recognize something new. Nicely pared with fish and beef. Excellent wine. Love it. — 8 years ago
I got cumin and cedar upfront on the nose. Incredibly mature and round tannins for a wine with only 3-4 months oak aging. Just quality #tempranillo #riberadelduero — 9 years ago
