Essentially a pop and pour. And it performed exquisitely. Classic Barolo notes and a few edges that suggest many future great years. Great producer + great vineyard + great year = great wine. Thanks @Elisa Scavino — 7 years ago
From Cav de Bruno, served with meat, cheese, olive board. Approved by Giacomo and Giulia :) — 8 years ago
So young but still so much to offer! Hibiscus, Rose hip, violet on the nose with a hint of sweetness and vanilla which faded after 90 min.. pure elegance with fine tannins but smooth finish! @Elisa Scavino — 8 years ago
You know, I just love what @Elisa Scavino is doing with these wines. It's approachable but also classic and can age. Luxuriously textured, floral, beautiful layers, striking acidity, sexy tannins. You will love this wine. #barolo — 9 years ago
Solid wine, great resto, excellent combo. Nicely aromatic, medium bodied with good mouth presence. Wild berry on the attack with heaps of spice on the finish. Crunchy ,forest, mineral finish. Lively, vibrant, fresh. Great energy. Memorable evening, lovely wine. — 4 years ago

Excellent. Strong notes of guava and passion fruit on the nose. Dry with a bitter tannic bite on the finish. — 8 years ago

Crisp- citrus with some lemon honeysuckle. it’s oakey, but not too much. Getting my fill of white before it becomes too cold and need to dip in the reds! — 5 years ago
Outstanding nose of ripe nebbiolo fruit. A tad hot and missing a bit on the mid palate but a quality wine nevertheless — 7 years ago
So different! Visit??

Colour is starting to fade around the edges already. It's smells like dried red fruits. Cranberry, strawberry, some darker cherry. There is some undergrowth and dried rose petals. It does taste like it is more developed than you would expect for the age but at the same time I really like where it's at. The savoury dried red fruits are still there, it's earthy, more undergrowth, iron and a little sappy. Kept changing in the air. Exactly how I like my Pinot. — 8 years ago
Don't think of Rossi di Montalcino as inferior to Brunello, Elisa Sesti told me, but as a younger wine that "heralds the new vintage." It's a wonderful way of thinking of this young, fresh, fruity, but complex and layered wine. — 9 years ago

Had at Elisa Steakhouse for our 8-year anniversary. Peppery, warm, medium-dry, easy to drink. Pairs wonderfully with an expensive steak, or I could just have a glass on it's own. — 3 years ago
