Colour is starting to fade around the edges already. It's smells like dried red fruits. Cranberry, strawberry, some darker cherry. There is some undergrowth and dried rose petals. It does taste like it is more developed than you would expect for the age but at the same time I really like where it's at. The savoury dried red fruits are still there, it's earthy, more undergrowth, iron and a little sappy. Kept changing in the air. Exactly how I like my Pinot.

Jun 25th, 2017Bright fruit, spices and earth aromas. Really fragrant. Similar flavours on the palate but the acid sticks out a little too much right now. Might be worth hanging onto for a couple years.

Sweet red fruits, five spice and notes of vanilla from the oak. A firm acid backbone drives the wine to a long finish. Beautifully balanced Yarra Pinot and cracking value for money. A solid performer in the outer ministry, pushing for a cabinet portfolio in the next reshuffle. 91 pts.
