Beautiful Ruby color. Chilled for 15m before serving.
Green rhubarb, salal, bit of vinegar and alcohol on the nose. Touch of dark chocolate
Great mouthfeel, light and fresh with just a touch of tannin. Juicy and savoury. Cherry, plum, rhubarb. Bright acidity, low alcohol. — 6 years ago
Just a beautiful #pomerol with elegant black currant aromas, velvety tannins and a faint echo of spice. This 2014 is a great representation of the region taken up a notch above very good.

This is an indigo-black wine, with nose that shows a lot more tar than the 2004 does. Savory notes abound. The palate offers firm tannins, but nothing scary. Blackberry fruit comes off as if it’s been trampled underfoot and gets an overlay of spice rack. It finishes long and savory. — 8 years ago
stage left and so was left amid the floorboards staged, wood like la brea, angst and time, the echo snakes its way as shadows do, purpose and rhythm on the drywall — 8 years ago
Olive pips, brioche, pomelo, tangerine pith and lemon custard nose with a circus peanut candy whiff. Briny lemon entry that eases into candied peel, olive notes echo the scents, and a hard race to a very lemon and caper fulfillment that shimmers with crystalline citrus nectars. Far from moribund, this one scores big where other '05s have given up the ghost! That's the spirit! #champagne bubbles #frenchsparklingwine — 9 years ago

Great dark triple in a 665cm3 bottle. Chocolate, smooth bitters with some caramel. Perfect after a strenuous drive on the RN 40 — 7 years ago
Totally missed the mark w this one at the blind tasting — 8 years ago
There are expensive chardys coming from Beechworth, but not all of them
The quality of the fruit is superb, well over the average of the country
Stylistically they use oak, but thanks to the flesh of the wines it is less prominent than what the classic oaked chardys were
In this case we have a little extraction of colour from the skins.
I like it, it has got a wonderful feel in my mouth
Beechworth is not only Giaconda. That's a good news☺️☺️ — 8 years ago
The high rating is not because I love Aaron Pott, it is not because we were eating at Echo and Rig in Vegas, it is not because the Somm here said it was fantastic when he tasted it... it was simply because it was awesome. Complex, balanced, smooth and lasting. Ready now.... hmmm... I wish I had tasting notes like Aaron. — 9 years ago
What an incredible bouquet on the 2016 Gour de Chaulé Gigondas, opening with violet florals and peppery spice, as crushed black raspberry, blueberry, sweet minerals, lavender and smoky minerals fill the senses. It washes across the palate with mineral-tinged black berry and spice, as a mix of minerals and youthful tannin, which perfectly frame the experience emerge along with purple florals which echo throughout. The finish is long, structured and perfectly balanced, resonating on spicy black fruits and violet flowers over a core of juicy acids. The 2016 Gour de Chaulé Gigondas may be the best rendition of this wine that I’ve ever experienced. — 6 years ago

Very good. Light. Kept well for two nights. — 7 years ago
Way way too drinkable — 8 years ago
Full bodied and wonderful finish. I echo the comments that this is a highly drinkable wine. Dangerous in fact. Highly recommended — 8 years ago
Pretty aromatics with black and red berries. Same to taste with coffee and raw meat. Good acidity too but it all ends a bit abruptly. — 9 years ago
