Smooth buttery cellars well. — 7 years ago
Big, rich and bold. Lightly sweet up front and tart + spice on the back. A bit on the tart side of the spectrum for me. Tart fruits really pop! — 8 years ago

Taste: raisin, dark chocolate, coffee, fig, date — 3 years ago
Outstanding!! Super tight and focussed. Struck match, flinty and nectarine kernel complexity. Drink now or hold for 3-5 years. Wish it came in magnums! Ripper booze!! — 4 years ago
A very pleasant well balanced wine that displays subtle fruit and mild tannins.

Baker Lane Vineyard(Field Guide 05), Bottle Numbers 1874 and 1879, Harvested 10/02/2014. Paired with a roast Alaskan Cod with Cannellini Beans and Castelvetrano olives, Roasted Broccoli, and Chocolate Gourmet Cannoli Cupcake. The food and wine complimented each, and the strong body of the wine brought out the hidden flavors and spices of the fish. Has a strong finish. Never ever adhere to old wives’ tale that only white goes with fish, as this meal clearly disapproves any notions. — 7 years ago
The perfect accompaniment to plum pudding. Very toffee and raisiny with intensity at 18.5% ABV. My son who rarely drinks anything loved it. Don’t worry. I’m sure I haven’t created a monster. He still went for his regular 10K run on Boxing Day. Rutherglen fortifieds are one of Australia’s gifts to the world of wine. — a year ago

Like a flavorful wine sundae—biting into a medley of strawberry, pear, and maraschino cherry with the perfect vanilla creamy on top. — 4 years ago
Feeling nostalgic for our trip to Ridge drinking this. Wonderfully gushy with pure fruit just the slightest hint of potting soil and something beautiful in that realm, maybe petrichor. Silky tannins and just unreal integration of structure. A wonderful expression of both PS and Zin. — 7 years ago

Gorgeous color and aromas of black cherry and blackberries. Entry is rich and smooth with lingering aftertaste. Extremely enjoyable wine which unfortunately is no longer available from this vineyard plot. — 8 years ago
Fruity, balanced with a soft finish.... pretty freaking awesome. — 9 years ago

Rustic and hearty and a little bit boxy until it loosens. It's shy aromatically. Earthy, bing cherries, prunes, and crushed rosemary.
Tannin, structure, and acid seem intact when a little give would do.
Cali wildness that doesn't feel quite as psychedelic as the Chardonnay (see previous note) — 8 months ago
