Last time I drank this was before I started using Delectable, so it was at least five years ago. Back then it was downright jammy, grape candy. It’s still yummy and decadent at 10, not nearly as jammy, almost mellow, almost dry, silky tannins, kinda tart finish... — 8 years ago

Was worried it was past it's prime at 11 years and my cork fell apart. Got lucky it still had life! Big wine. Wasn't exactly my fav but it was interesting. Solid finish. — 10 years ago
On the nose, delicate raspberries and a hint of caramel. Wood is invisible.
On the palette, the wine does not have the typical Zin signature at all. It's very restrained with hints of raspberries and kirsch. Tannins are completely integrated. So happy that I was not overwhelmed with jam and fruit. — 10 years ago
Black fruit with pleasantly dusty herbs. Pure black currant. Pure waves of rolling spice that grows with time. Not cheap, but great value for money. $50 at winery. — 11 years ago
2007 Marcassin Blue-Slide Ridge Pinot. Drank as the second red wine at the David Gray concert. Worked out well bc the Brunello was much more suited as a food wine and this wine was perfect to drink without food, after dinner and during the actual concert. Tons of fruit balanced with nice minerality. Great weight and texture in the mouth. Really enjoyed! — 11 years ago
The 2011 East Ridge is very approachable now. The 2012 East Ridge will benefit from time but shows fabulous complexity at this stage. — 11 years ago
Tasted it at the recent Anthill sale. Wow!! — 12 years ago
Lovely and dry, fruity, probably tastes more expensive than it probably is. Served at the Whitney. — 8 years ago
A group of guys decided to meet up at our Wine Storage facility and bust out some unique bottles! Scores and notes to follow!
Another great petite sirah by Bill. Lots of black pepper and spice on the finish compared to the eighty four. I love the Switchback Ridge Merlot and cab...as an '05, this has at least 7yrs to peak! — 9 years ago
At 5 years, this is truly a perfect California Zin! — 10 years ago
Holy moly! Hands down the best pour of the experience at Pine Ridge. Amazing. — 11 years ago
A great find at our hotel. A jammy Lodi Zin. Lots of berry with a very smooth finish. Have enjoyed as my nightcap every night in San Fransisco. — 11 years ago
Yes, decanter is a tea pot. At a backcountry ski lodge. 2007 Vintage — 11 years ago

Unexpected and delightful - Pinot Noir from Southwest Virginia! From vineyards planted at 1800 feet (big diurnal range and early harvest), this silky wine sang with notes of loam and damp earth, maitake mushroom, cranberry, red cherry, raspberry compote, boysenberry, violet, lavender, black pepper, toast and wood smoke, with bracing acid and medium-plus tannins on a medium frame. A long, satisfying, and juicy finish. One to seek out that proves how careful site selection and winemaking skill can produce superb results from innovative grape/region combinations! — 8 years ago
Smooth at first them tingly at the end. Berry notes. Good cabernet. — 8 years ago
Fruity, smooth. Brought by Steven Fingerhood, purchased at D&M — 9 years ago
30 min allowed for the wine to open... Ever so slight hint of prunes from ripe plums on the nose, juicy fresh grape flavors, mid palate of earth, cedar, & acid that causes cleansing salivation across the tongue... 2007 vintage firing on all cylinders, and at a high moment, from a producer of magical Zinfandels... it's the next morning, and I'm still craving more. — 10 years ago
Funky at first but blows off to reveal a classicly balanced Ridge zin dominant blend.. This one has held up well. Love Ridge and consistent as always. — 11 years ago
Poses a spicy nose with a wild feeling of prunes and red table grapes. Palate is black currant, red plum, coffee. You can tell that there is a long going on here, plus a medium long finish. Pure with berry fruit. Young. I expect complexity to come with age as is typical with Geyserville. $38 at winery. — 11 years ago
Tasted at a tasting event. Loved all their wines. Crafted with precision. — 11 years ago
Full body, a nice fruity taste, and a little dry at the end. Overall pretty good. — 11 years ago

Can’t beat this dark, delicious Zin for the price! It’s got a nice mouthfeel and at $8.99 from Costco, I could drink it every night! — 8 years ago
